( I am listening to Ella Mai ft Ed Sheeran - put it all on me and Bea miller- something while writing this chapter)

"Knock on door, somebody is still awake" a voice rushes in and I turn to see my mother standing by the door.

"Mama, I thought you were asleep by now"

"I would but I had to finish writing somethings" she seats on the edge of the bed.

"Oh okay, and how did my sweet mother end up in my room?" I smile while sitting up and put my elbows on a pillow for balance.

" I went to get a class of water and noticed that your lights ain't off" she tilts her head pointing out the obvious.

"Of course you did" I smirk. Silence takes over and I am at the edge of going deep in thoughts about how my life has changed over meeting a boy and just how I lost a friend.

"Mother do you think events in novels and movies can turn into reality" I pick at my nails, avoiding eye contact.

"Well since I am a writer I would say yes, it is possible, why? I feel my mother's curious eyes on me.

"Just asking dear mother, just asking" I sigh loudly.

"Okay now in your bed, you have a long day tomorrow" she places a soft kiss on my cheek before leaving my room.

"Night mama" I change into my pyjamas and  straight into bed. Two minutes after closing my eyes, my phone vibrates and I groan in annoyance. My eyes shoot open as I grab the device and see Ash's name on the screen, I feel excited yet shaking.

"Hello" I squeak.

"Anna... hi" Ash responds slowly as if deciding if calling me was a good idea or not.

"I was not expecting this call honestly" I laugh nervously.

"Yeah, neither did I think I would call you" she says.

" Yeah, in the middle of the night out of no where" I smile. " It's a good thing though...i mean I don't...I don't really mind" I tumble for words to form a good and sensible sentence.

"Okay...well goodnight then" she says after listening to me me struggle to form a response.

" Oh, okay yeah good night then" I breath on the phone.

"Oh and Ash?" I say.

"Yeah?"

"I missed you and thank you for calling." I say.

"Mmmhh" she mumbles. The line goes dead and I wonder if Ash called to only say hi. She must have missed me but she is too proud to admit. I put the phone on the night stand and switch the lights off.
