*Taka's POV*

I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I woke up in the morning, but then suddenly, memories of last night hit me like a brick. Happy ones at first, being given fruit snacks and playing with Monobear, I almost thought it was just my dream, not memories. Then I remembered who'd given me the snacks, who looked at me as I played with Monobear but didn't say anything.

Mondo saw me in little space!

My heart beats a mile a minute I can't believe I let him see me like that, a fellow classmate seeing their serious mature hall monitor in such a state! My alarm interrupts my thoughts, I have to put these thoughts aside and get to class. I rush to put on my uniform and hall monitor badge. The principal already informed teachers and students who the hall monitor was so teachers knew when I had to patrol the halls and students knew which student they had to listen too.

I make my way to the dining hall for breakfast once I'm fully dressed, and luckily there weren't too many students there so it was easy to just grab my food then sit alone, is what I thought. Just as I had sat down a flood of people came in the dining hall doors, I try to ignore every one and just focus on my food when I can't help but notice a family blonde sit right next to me, who I assume are his friends take up the other seat on the table. My face goes red.

*Mondo's POV*

In the morning I wait near the dining hall where Chihiro and Leon told me to meet them so we could eat breakfast together, I'd been texting both of them late last night telling them about how our hall monitor isn't as much a hardass as you would think, telling them about the times we bumped into each other but taking all the baby parts out because it seemed like something Taka wanted to be kept secret.

I see Chi coming down the hall first, he's skipping and have no issue going the pace he is, Leon, on the other hand, can barely keep up with Chi and looks to be losing his breath just looking at the skipping boy. I can't help but chuckle I mean look at em'!

"Good morning Mondo! I hope you were planning on introducing us to your new friend, you kept me up all night talking about him!" Chi said in a sing-song voice. He was always a morning person.

"Err, I wouldn't say e's a friend but I guess if we see 'im the dining hall we could ask to sit with 'im" I responded to my overly happy friend as Leon finally caught up.

"Good..." He breathed "... Morning" He seemed like he was about to pass out.

"Oh my! Was I going that fast?! You should've said something Leon!" Chi said somehow with both sympathy and anger.

"Well, I couldn't say shit cause I was usin' all my breath to keep in pace with you!" Leon said, angry.

"Ok! Are you two gonna keep arguing or are we gonna eat??" I finally said, these two could go at it all day if they wanted. They just sighed and looked away from one another as they followed me into the cafeteria, we went in about the same time as a large group of students.

"Looks like somebody is sitting all alone! We should go to sit there!" Chi cheered. I looked at the table he was referring to and my face was stormed with a blush.

"Chi, we can't sit there! That's Taka at the table!" I whisper yelled.

"Even more a reason to sit there! Let's go cheer up your friend!" Chi said practically dragging the two large boys behind him.

"Plus it looks like somebody's nervous." Leon snickered which earned him a hard punch in the shoulder from Mondo.

They didn't even ask to sit down they all just sat there, Leon and Chi were talking to each other but I couldn't hear them, somehow I had ended up staring at Taka, I couldn't believe he could be the same sweet childish boy he'd seen before. Though even without his onesie or his bear Taka still looked really cute, as soon as we sat down it looked like his face set fire, seeing him in this state like he was gonna melt made me feel funny, there was this weird feeling in my chest, my heart was going a mile a minute and the rest of the world seemed to wash away the longer I stared at him.

I was working up my nerve to talk when suddenly...

The school bell rang. I felt sad that I didn't get to say anything to Taka but I had to get to class.
