I did finally stop because my throat was scratchy and I really needed a drink. Easily finding a small creak I stopped and started to lap up water when I heard a twig snap I stood up and got into a defensive position, only to see two pups prancing forwards, they both froze when they saw me. I softened up when I realized they where just harmless kids. The smaller of the two came closer to me no longer worried, I sat down and watched as she tried to climb up my leg, with a small smile on my face. The other pup wasn’t as carefree it watched its younger sibling with careful worry filled eyes, it barked when I moved as if to warn me that he didn’t like it. I sat totally still, till the smaller pup almost fell, from the top of my head I caught it by it’s back of it’s neck and carefully set it down, it just pranced over to the creak and took a drink of water. I continued to watch the smaller one who was playing in the water with my now soaked tail when a twig snapped I stood over the smaller pup and growled towards the noise, soon a man came into view with about 4 wolves hiding in the background.
“Shift,” he commanded we all listened I still stood in front of the pup protectively.
“Blaire, Xavier what where you doing out side of the pack lands by yourself, you know its not safe.
“Dad I was chasing after Blaire she caught a scent you chased after her, then we found him,” the little boy pointed at me.
“Blaire,”
“I wanted to play with the big fuzzy wolf, he looked lonely,” a little girl came up from behind me.
“Blaire,” the man ran his hand down his face, “you know dad is going to be pissed, you’re not sapost to go near rouges, what if he’s a bad guy, what if you got hurt, or token,” he asked her with pained eyes, “father would have me killed, you know you are his little princess,”
“That’s why Xavier was looking after me,” she answered, “plus Mr. Rouge wouldn’t let anything happen to me, he let me play with his tail and climb him, Alex, he is really nice, he even saved me from falling,” she started to bounce after she said Mr. Rouge.
“I am sorry for my sister, she has a tendency of not knowing about the bad things in the world, and I thank you for not trying to kill these idiots,” Alex sighed, looking at the two in annoyance.
“It’s fine, I just started being a rouge,” I answered grabbing my bag and putting on a pair of basketball shorts I handed the girl one of my smaller shirts which still crumpled up on the ground on her.
“Why did you get kicked out,” Alex asked me with his head tilted.
“I left,” I frowned everyone except Blaire took a step away from me.
“Why,” Blaire asked me her eyes filled with confusion, I smiled while kneeling down to as close to her height as I could.
“My mate didn’t want me, she thought it to be better with the future Alpha who’s mate wasn’t very lady like, I couldn’t deal with the heartbreak and deal with seeing her happy with him so I left,” I replied with the calmest voice I could muster up.
