Volume 1 Chapter 6 Final Selection!?

Previously: Konno & Rei head towards the place they hold the Final Selection, so they can become official members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

They both arrive at the place with Wisteria Flowers all around them. Half of their bodies start to burn up from within because of the flowers. Good thing they are half human or they would be trapped there forever.

They're being watched very carefully by those around them. They both split during the exam to test their skills fairly. "See you on the other side brother." She said in an emotionless expression. He nodded at her words and then walked past her.

*Rei Snow's Overview POV* He held his Sheath and carried it around as he walked at a normal walking speed, in a straight line. Then suddenly a Demon tried to ambush him and attack from behind. He heard them coming because he instantly spun around and cut his head off. It was so quick you couldn't even see him drawing his sword from the Black Sheath. After that the other demon's stayed from his path as best as possible. He let his presence leak on purpose to make his location known. He grabbed his hilt and then got on guard because a huge Demon aura was coming his way. *

*Konno Hanako's POV* As I take my step forward into the area where I will officially start my final test. I sense someone tailing behind me that's not a Demon, so I'll just ignore for right now. Then suddenly two demons try to ambush me at the same time from either side of me. I smirk devilishly as I grab both of my sword hilt's and then spun around cutting their heads off in one swift movement. Just before I Sheathed my swords I said,"If you think you can just kill me that easily, then think again human." I turn around and glare at a human trying to kill from behind. They panicked and took a step back. "Look, I'm half human and was trained by a Hashira. Calm down and don't.." "LIER!!" I sigh deeply and then block their one sword with my two blades. "Look calm down!" "No you are a Demon and shall die!" "I told you I'm half human!" I can't get through to them. What do I do? Then I sensed a huge Demonic Aura coming our way. And it's traveling at incredible speeds. I push the human behind me and block the demon's deadly claws with my dual swords. It had nothing but black eyes, the iris and the sclera was just Black in color. I grow arms from both sides and grab his wrist trying to stop him from cutting me. He laughed deeply in a demonic tone,"I see you are Half Demon as I feared." His voice was Deep & Demonic. I struggled to push him back with my strength, I haven't eaten since...well...I'm not sure. Then I get an idea of how to get my strength back. I let go of his wrists and yell to the human,"Run away now!" They looked at me guilty and then nodded,"I'm sorry I misjudged you." I smirk devilishly saying,"It's fine, I would have done the same." They ran away and the Demon tried to get past me but I generated Ice from my multiple limbs that I grew on either side of my torso. I stopped him in his tracks and then sheathed my two swords. "What do you think you are doing!?" He said almost terrified. I grabbed his head of hair and bit into his neck bleeding him dry and ripping out a chunk of his flesh to eat. His screams of pain echoed throughout the forest but I didn't care either way if he drew attention to me or not. I devoured his delicious blood and body until he regenerated again. I sensed multiple people and Demons alike watch me eat this Demon alive. After I became full I cut off his head and then started to walk towards the top of the mountain top. *

Demon BloodArt~

Black-Devil-Claws+Black-Eye(Can grow a Long Black Claw on their left side only and when they do that their Demon eye goes fully black.)

A few days later~ She's about to reach the top but a huge demon is standing in her way with multiple mouths all over his body. Her brother was being stopped by the demon too. The demon isn't a normal one and he's killed every single human that reached the top even the human Konno saved earlier.

"Brother are you ready?" He just nodded in silence and grabbed the hilt of his sword. She reached for her two swords but was Interrupted by the demon leaping right towards her at full speed. She grew extra limbs and then created an ice wall protecting her for a few seconds so she can distance herself to grab her swords. It broke through quite easily and dashed towards her she breathed in and marked with her eyes her path for 5th Form Figure 8 breathing technique. She slid under it's full frontal attack and created ice beneath her feet as she ran the first lap around the creature. Then the second time around she created skates with Ice Creation her Demon BloodArt and then went around until her speed was almost impossible to calculate. She cut up the Demon in so many directions at once that it couldn't keep up. "Now Rei!" She yelled out to her brother to send the finished blow. While the Demon was distracted with her he forgot Rei was there as well as, he used his Demon BloodArt~ Shadow Hunter to conceal his presence and go invisible. He jumped off the ground with so much force that the ground around his feet got destroyed to dust. He propelled himself straight towards the demon and almost instantly cut off his head in one swift motion. He Sheathed his sword as he landed gracefully like a flower petal from a flower in the fall. His swift movements made no sound except for the blade beheading the Demon it cut through the air at such speed it made a ripple effect of sound. Konno drifted to a stop on the ice she created and then her brother walked over towards the now disappearing demon and collected some of it's blood to drink later in his empty glass bottles & syringes he carries around. He gathers all he can carry and then turns around to leave the exam area after melting the ice all over the ground that his sister made with her Demon BloodArt. "Thanks for that brother." She said ruffling his hair playfully. He nodded silently and they walked towards the finish line. No one was there but them, she created an ice rose for the dead humans and set it down on a self made grave. She stood up to be glared at by her brother. "Yeah i know i shouldn't care but as Demon Slayers we have to care about the people well beings." The both stood there and got briefed about their duties and what they are receiving for completing the final selection test. "A bird and the ability to choose the ore for your new sword Nichirin blades." Two birds flew down to greet their new owners and they weren't crows like normal.

Rei Snow's Bird was a Hawk (52 – 56 inch wingspan. They are 22 – 27 inches long and can weigh over 4 pounds. Gender is female.)

Konno Hanako's Bird was a Bald Eagle ( 300 cm / 118 inches, Gender is male.)

They both picked their ores out and then ordered a specific order for their swords. And after that they were to rest up and then set back toward the HQ of the Hashira.

Rei Snow's 2nd Sword~ Dual-Reaping-Hooks: Two sickles that are sharp and deadly to the touch. It has a syphoning ability and takes blood from the enemy and fills up a swapable container in the bottom of the weapon. (Both~ Cyan Blades & Magenta Hilts.)

Konno Hanako's 3rd & 4th Sword~ Two Sided-War Scythe: It's broken up into two curved blades & Two combinable end pieces that have a comfortable grip on it to be able to hold it properly for long periods of time.

Combined together makes~ Dark-Moon)

They head toward the huge gate that leads to the main building of the Hashira. They both see two old men standing next to two Hashira. Rei and Konno take a bow for the two old gentlemen standing before them. They follow them to the main area and are introduced to the two old men. " These two are the retired Hashira I was talking about. First we have the Water Hashira." Rei nodded and said nothing like usual. But Konno bowed her head and said," It's a pleasure to meet you sir. My father told great stories about you." The masked man nodded and crossed his arms. "Next is , the Hashira of Thunder." Rei did the same and Konno repeated her gestures. "It's a pleasure to meet you too sir. My father talked about you as well." He nodded at her words. "Now that you are a Hashira Konno Hanako, you may train under a retired or active Hashira by choice of course. Your brother has already decided to train under an already active Hashira of Flames, ." She smiled devilishly,"I choose both." They all freak out until she holds out her hand."Before you all freak out, i only want to master one form from each teacher." They all calm down a little bit, and then she gets on one knee and bows her head. "Forgive me for being rude, please do let me explain." She waited for them to say something. "I see, you have my attention." (Thunder Hashira) "I'm listening, you continue." ( Water Hashira) She smiled confidently at their responses. "I have the ability to master Water, Thunder and Wind if i really wanted too but that would be way too foolish to grant a person that much power. So instead i'll master one technique from each of the elements i listed, so i'll be less overpowered, at least to an extent. Sixth Form: Whirlpool, and First Form: Thunderclap & Flash, are my choices." They all gasped at her choices and then the whole garden grew silent. "I accept your decision and I'll be waiting for your arrival." (Water Hashira) "I understand and accept you as well, I'll see you very soon." (Thunder Hashira) They both left the area at once and she bowed as they left her sight. She silently celebrated and then got her orders and became the Hashira Of Ice Officially. What's to come next?
