"Well, where do we go now?" I ask, taking a seat in the red booth with my friends, glancing around at the older themed restaurant. They all sit in silence for a little while before Elliott jumps out of his seat, eagerly waiting with a suggestion, "What about your hometown? You've always said you wanted to visit, what better time than now?" He asked curiously as he spoke at me.
I think for a moment, he's right, I've been saying that I've wanted to return home but... I can't remember home! At least, not clearly. I can remember stuff like my father and brother but it's... cloudy as if someone had gone into my mind and attempted to erase my memories. I let out a deep sigh as I return to the present, nodding to show my approval of the plan, "Yeah, why not? I'm pretty sure I've got a couple of friends still living there, I'm sure they'll let us crash until... this blows over." I said gesturing to an old TV displaying the recent murder case that shut down our school indefinitely.
Elliott grins from ear to ear, chugs the rest of his drink, and grabs me by the arm as he yanks me out of my seat, "Well c'mon! Let's grab our shit and hit the road!" He shouted with enthusiasm, causing the rest of us to chuckle at his antics as we all get up to follow him to the dorms.
