I want to start this out by saying I have never been to a protest but I have experienced enough bullying and being singled out by adults and my classmates that I have an extreme amount of empathy.
George Floyd's life should not have been taken. He deserves justice but not in this way. Not with riots. His girlfriend and family have said that it'd break his heart to see everything happening right now.
I have sat here for hours and day wanting nothing more than to use this platform to write about this. So, today, I'm writing what keeps going over and over in my head.
The scenarios. The feelings. The hopelessness. The shear violence and tears.
I am not black. But I stand with them. I don't care what color you are everyone deserves basic human rights.
I may not write this correctly. You may be seeing this days from now because I may have cried myself to sleep. If there's any mis-spellings I'm sorry.
I have the gift to write. I have the gift to portray to the mind of readers.
This will be put in a book. But will stay here. If that bothers you I'm sorry I've been writing chapters for BNHA but I just haven't been able to focus well with this in my head.Let me show you my pain. The pain I feel from others.
~
I don't have the whole story to some of the things I've seen but these are just the things that went through my mind when I seen them.
1 the video of the woman walking away getting pepper sprayed in the back of the head
You were walking away from the police as they had asked. You didn't have any desire to fight them. You didn't want to be hurt or jailed. You could feel their shear presence behind you and it was terrifying. You wanted to run but what would they think? You tried to kept walking but there was a chill up your spine like something was about to happen.
Turns out your instinct was right. You felt the oil of the pepper spray hit the back of your head and the wind carried it into your eyes, your nose, and your mouth... You started coughing and nearly tripped of the sidewalk as you covered your face. You heard the hiss of the can and the cops walk away as you collapsed to your knees and covered your eyes.
It burnt so bad. You started coughing and crying. You couldn't scream, your lungs and throat burned from the pepper. You heard people rushing over to you as someone across the way screamed at the cops. They still walked away.

2 the protestors and people in general on the streets being arrested and taken away.
You had been protesting for the justice of George Floyd. His death hurt you physically and emotionally. The video was the thing that put you in the streets with hundreds of others to protest.
If you would just get in the car. I tried to tell you to get in and you wouldn't.
You heard in the back of your head as you screamed for justice. Those words. The words of the cops while they had him PINNED TO THE GROUND. Your voice nearly could take anymore. You had been screaming for hours. Your whole being wanted to stand up for what was right and this is what you were doing. Peacefully protesting with the rights you have.
