he gets a call from seulgi, and he tells yerim to stay put with the guys while he goes to fetch her sister. seulgi's waiting for him at the welcoming center, and he practically runs there, not wanting her to wait for too long. "hey..." he calls out, jogging up to her.

"hey... oh no, were you eating?" she questions and he nods.

"yeah... how did you know?"

"you have a little pasta sauce right here..." she giggles, reaching up and wiping the corner of his mouth with her thumb. jaebeom feels his cheeks run hot, he's a mixture of embarrassment and being turned on, and he kind of hates himself for it.

"i bet you're hungry too? i can take you to the cafeteria after dropping off your bags.."

"that'd be nice."

"yerim's there... still eating with chanyeol and mark." jaebeom explains, following seulgi back to her car. he hops in the driver's seat, showing her the way to the inn and parking it next to chanyeol's shitty van. "yerim... wants to stay until our morning practice tomorrow. i told her it's up to you and how you feel."

"i don't know... i had to tell irene what was going on, she'll expect us back first thing."

"oh... right..." jaebeom says, getting out and fetching the overnight bag seulgi packed from the trunk, leading her to her room for the night with wendy and sooyoung. "i understand."

"you sound bummed..."

"well, i don't know? i kind of thought that since you can't stay for the festival, it'd a great chance for you to finally hear us play."

"do you want me to?" seulgi wonders and jaebeom feels light headed.

"y-yeah... i want you to."

"okay... i will then." seulgi's cheeks are just as red as his now, and he tries not to look too into it. he doesn't want to get his hopes up, especially when he's already mentally prepared himself for unrequited love. sure, yerim claims that seulgi likes him back, but can he trust yerim? she's probably just trying to stay for the festival.

jaebeom's forced to stand in the doorway and wait while seulgi squeals with sooyoung and wendy about something he doesn't understand because they're speaking in girl code. he's already put her things down in the room, and is now waiting to escort her to the cafeteria to get some food. seulgi finally turns to leave, but not without sooyoung giving her butt a nice smack, and jaebeom's bothered because he's jealous. seulgi has a nice ass... ugh, feelings. "ready?" he questions and seulgi nods, following him down the hallway.

when they arrive at the cafeteria, it's a little more packed. mark and chanyeol are still there stuffing their faces, and yerim plays a game on chanyeol's phone. jaebeom discovers that jooe must have thought he left and cleared his plate, so he's stuck getting more food with seulgi, not that he minds. "unnie!" yerim calls out when she sees seulgi, waving wildly while chanyeol looks at her with mild panic.

"irene says hello!" seulgi tells chanyeol who visibly pales, yet jaebeom can't help but laugh at his expense.

"i didn't know she broke in..."

"jaebeom already told me what happened."

"i trusted you not to rat me out!" jaebeom just shrugs his shoulders.

"are you getting food?" yerim wonders and seulgi nods, "can you bring back cookies? i had three pizza slices!"

"okay, i'll bring you back some cookies." seulgi agrees, giving yerim a thumbs up before following jaebeom.
