a/n: btw, you have to use your imagination about the songs chosen for def paradise. imagination is key.

to say that jaebeom slept well is an understatement. he ends up floating on a cloud, happy that his feelings for seulgi are not only out in the open, but reciprocated. at this point, this gig could fall through and maybe he'd still be okay. it'd give him an excuse to crash at seulgi's house and cuddle, pretending that his dream of being a rockstar is over as he mopes and she hopefully kisses him better.

he gets up and does his morning routine before heading to the dining hall for a quick breakfast. the girls are already there. wendy is making lemon tea for sooyoung, and seulgi is staring at her oatmeal like it'll eat itself, while yerim munches on bread. "good morning." he greets, to be nice. the breakfast selection is lackluster compared to the lunch and dinner, so he settles for some shitty instant coffee and yogurt parfait, it doesn't compare to what his mother makes, but it'll do.

"jaebeom, drink this too." wendy comments, confiscating his coffee for her lemon tea. "you and sooyoung need to keep your voices in tip-top shape!"

"i barely sing in our set."

"about that... we decided to change up the set a bit."

"we?"

"well... sooyoung and i discussed it last night."

"i'm glad that i was informed..." he complains, stuffing yogurt into his mouth. seulgi pats his knee and he feels instantly better, but he's not sure how to react. did she tell her friends what happened between them?

"i know, we should have consulted you, but we also knew you wouldn't mind. we think it's best for the band if we do something good, how can i say and all right."

"whatever. there's still three others in the band. we need their opinions and okay before you both just change the set."

"you're right. i'll talk to them." wendy agrees.

"i can't wait to hear the rehearsal." yerim points out. "mark oppa is the best on the keyboard, and his solo during all right is the best too!"

"what about the other members?" jaebeom teases.

"sooyoung unnie sings like a princess, brian oppa is great at rap and chanyeol oppa is amazing at drums."

"what about jaebeom?" seulgi wonders.

"he's good too."

"just good, huh?" jaebeom sighs. he just can't win with yerim, can he?

the other boys join them for breakfast shortly after, and wendy gets their opinion on the set change. no one has any complaints, so they accept it. "when are you leaving, seulgi?" chanyeol questions.

"after your rehearsal... yerim wants to stay and watch and it is saturday, so i guess there's no rush."

"awesome! it'll be like a mini-gig."

"yeah... i should probably go pack up my car though. i'm done with my breakfast." seulgi comments, standing and gathering her dishes.

"i'll help you." jaebeom volunteers, and luckily no one questions it, not even yerim, who's too busy staring at mark.
