5. Two Seated Golf Cart

"Are you guys ready to see Allison?" Reece says through the door. Right now I have the whole right side of the couch to myself because Reece say I hAvE tO kEeP mY fOoT eLeVaTeD. I barely stubbed it. Tessa is at the other end near my foot, so I went through all that worrying about how far apart we have to sit for nothing.

"So ready." I say. Then out of the bathroom walks Allison rocking a stunning pink makeup look inspired by the queen of makeup, Nikkie Tutorials.

Tessa and I hype Ally up with compliments while she walks around the room posing like a model and enjoying every second of getting her ego boosted.

"So, Tessa, did you get anything at this farmers market you keep mentioning?" Ally asks when she's done getting hyped up.

"No, it started raining before I could get anything."

"She did get caffeinated." I interject.

"Oh, so very caffeinated. I'm shaking."

"I see you also got Charlotte's clothes. Cute." Allison says. She gives a glance to Reece and they have a secret conversation with their looks.

"Yeah, mine got drenched from the rain."

"Ah, I see." Ally then looks at Reece and gives her a small nod almost as if she's cueing her to do something.

"What was the name of the coffee shop you went to?" Reece asks and then looks at Allison who gives her a subtle wink.

"I went to Beany Boys."

"Oh, I love Beany Boys!" Ally says with excitement.

"Cool, you want to go?" Reece returns the wink Ally gave her earlier. What the hell are they doing?

"I could really use a cup of Joe." Allison sounds like she's being forced to say this... She's a good singer, but not a good actress.

"Looks like we're getting coffee!" Reece answers, then she fake pouts, "But the golf cart only fits two people. Shame... looks like two of us are going to have to stay behind..." She fake sighs.

"How caffeinated am I? Are they acting weird or is it just me?" Tessa asks concerned.

"I think you guys should stay. With Tessa being high on caffeine and you being injured-"

"I stubbed my toe." I interrupt Ally.

"Right. Anyway, I think it's best Reece and I make the trip to the coffee shop while you two stay here and... do... whatever..."

Tessa and I give them both and confused look.

"Are y'all on crack or something?" I ask.

"No, there just isn't enough room in the golf cart for four people." Reece answers.

"Well, why were you being all weird about it?" Tessa asks.

"We're not, you're just high on caffeine."

"I'm finding it wired too and I haven't had caffeine since this morning."

"I don't have an answer for you. Do you want anything from the shop?" Reece asks.

"Um... I don't know... just get me a latte I guess."

"Oh, get me a-"

"No." All three of us interrupt Tessa. She flips us off and sticks her tongue out out us.

"We'll be back soon." Reece says as she grabs her wallet and they head out the door.

"They literally could of said "Hey, we're getting coffee. Want anything?" But nooooooo. They had to he all dramatic about it." I say, then I take my foot off the couch. Tessa fake gasps.

"Reece says you have to keep you got elevated."

"Reece also believed in bigfoot till she was 18."

"You're joking..." I shook my head 'no' in response. "Well... you know what they say about big feet." She nudges my shoulder.

"And that's where this conversation ends." I try to hide my smile as I stand up.

"Wait no. Charlie!" I sit back down.

"Are you done talking about bigfoot's penis?"

"Not a question I ever thought I would have to answer, but yes."

"What are you going to do when the caffeine wears off?"

"Probably nap. Or get more coffee."

"Oh dear god, no more coffee. Please. Three was enough."

"Can I tell you a secret?" I got nervous, but I nod and she gets right up to my ear and whispers, "The first one had an extra shot of espresso."

"Oh my God... you're actually gonna die from too much caffeine."

"I feel like I'm having a panic attack without the panic, or like I can go into another dimension."

"Why did you drink so much?"

"I had nothing else to do!"

"They sell other stuff at Beany Boys. Like... sandwiches and smoothies.. AND WATER."

"A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do." She shrugs her shoulders. I stare at her with a confused face.

"That doesn't even make sense in this situation..."

"You don't make sense in this situation!" She say back really fast.

"Tess... why are your comebacks something my little sister, who is in middle school, would say?"

"I'm super hyper, sorry. And, awe, you have a little sister!"

"More like a monster, but yeah, her name is Madison. She's a brat and I love her."

"Well, I hope one day I get to meet her. She sounds adorable."

"I hope you get to meet her too." We both smile at each other but Tessa breaks the silence before it gets awkward.

"So... tour... that's gonna be fun."

"Yeah, tour is the best part. It's everything before tour that sucks. We just got off tour for our third album and now we have a tour for a fourth album that isn't even done yet. But in the end I'm always glad to see how much the fans love the music. They always appreciate how much work we put into it."

"Wait, you're getting ready for a tour for an album that isn't even finished yet? That's absurd."

"I don't make the rules, I just sign contracts when I'm young." The mood in the room was too serious so I decide to change the subject. "Enough of that. So tell me about this ' Cara Delevingne playing you in a movie' thing. How would that go?"

Tessa adjusts herself on the couch so she's more comfortable and she looks like she's about to tell me a story. I don't the same, shifting so I'm facing her, ready to listen.

"Well, I wouldn't do my whole life. That's too much of a drag. It would just be a lot of being a lesbian in a homophobic yeehaw town."

"Oh my God... I'm so sorry."

"Yeah, it sucked but my parents are super supportive. My dad even took me to my first pride and flipped off all the homophobes." A small smile was on her face from the memory of her dad. "It would probably be a band biopic. Just a movie about how was started and everything up till the end."

"Well, I hope this tour will be included."

"I would be I fool not to."
