"Here she is" Calum says waving to a beat up old Honda. "Wow" is all I can say with out bursting out in laughter. He rolls his eyes and gets in the raggedy black car.

As I reach for the handle Calum shoots his eyes up with a warning look in his eyes. "Don't open the door like that!" He screamed from the inside of the car. I retreat my hand and back up as he reached over the console and grasped the door handle and popped it open. He looks up with a big smile and relief in his eyes "sorry for yelling didn't mean to scare you" he says with a giggle. I laugh and get into the car.

The air in the small place was filled with smoke and the smell of old McDonald's. I tried my hardest to hide my disgusted face from him but I don't think it worked to well considering his constant giggling. the rest of the car ride was silent except for the loud music he was blaring.

About ten minutes later we pull up to this huge house. "Wow" I think out loud. "Yea I know I wish my house was half this size." Calum says almost ashamed. "Yea for real my house was really small in Australia." I say as I leave the car. The air is completely different here than the airport or the car. It was fresh and clean with a hint of rubber from the tennis court that was next to the house.

I walk to the back of the car and lift up the door to the trunk. "I'll get your stuff later let's go inside it's getting cold. I didn't even noticed it was basically dark and the chill in the air was extremely uncomfortable. I nod my head in agreement and run my arms. "Are you cold?" He asks with a voice full of concern. I nod my head agin not being able to make a sound because of the sudden coldness. I look up at the sky it looks like the skies back home. The smooth gradient from dark blue to purple then pink with a little orange and a burst of yellow. As I take in this beautiful sight I feel Calum lay his flannel over my shoulders. I smile and hug him. We start to walk down the reasonably long drive way and by the time we make it to the door I'm frozen. Back in Australia it was never this cold even though it's probably only like 50 degrees it's still cold to me. A sudden wave of warmth snaps me out of my rant about the whether. I walk inside of the big house and the warm smell of cinnamon and apples fill my senses. Calum giggles at my amazement of the smell and surprisingly coziness of the big house. The house looked like it would be cold and modern, but it's warm with red walls and dark brown hard floors and the big furniture made the big house seem small and lovely.
