Chapter 3 Friendship lasts forever

I arrived at the school, walking over to see my mystery gang. "Hey gang!" I said cheerfully. "Hey Velma, we wanted to apologise, for yesterday... we already apologised to webby and she excepted our apology, all we are waiting for is you." I smiled, giggling. "Okay gang! I forgive you! "I Exclaimed going into a group hug. "Hi Velma! "I heard a familiar high-pitched voice coming from behind me, I giggled already knowing who it was. "Hi Webby!!" I said, bending down and hugging her. "Hi Daphne! Hi shaggy! Hi Scooby! "She said, giving Scooby a Scooby snack. " I thought there was five of you, Where's Fred?" She asked looking for him. "He's not part of the mystery gang anymore, he quit, after him and Daphne broke up. Daphne glared at me. "Can we not talk about him? Please? Unless you want me to get emotional about him. "I shook my head vigourously, not wanting her to get emotional over this, again. "Please don't Daphne! We've already gone over this way too many times." Webby giggled, as we all headed into class. "So how did your grandma taking you coming over last night? "I asked sitting down. Webby hesitated, before sitting down next to me. "Let's just say....She didn't take it well shall we? "She said laughing to hide her tears. "Webby...? What's the matter? "I asked, excusing both of us from the class, I told her teacher where we were going, she nodded and allowed us to leave. "Webby? Did, did your grandma kick you out? "She nodded, breaking down in tears. "Webby....I'm so sorry... Is there anything I can do? Like, maybe you could stay at my place? Or maybe we could take you to the foster system after school, or something. "She just hugged me and wrapped her arms around me. "Shhhh, it's okay..... Let's go tell the principle, I am sure he can help." We walked to the principles office, I knocked on the door politely as we waited for him to allow us to come in. "webbigail, Velma? How may I assist you?" Webby sat on the chair next to me, nervous. "Um, webby got kicked out by her grandmother, sir, and she has no other relatives to stay with, I was going to suggest that she could stay with me and my family until further notice... But I wouldn't recommend sending her back. "The principal glared at us, walking over, bending down and taking webby's hand. "I'm sorry Miss webbigail, i'll call child protection, in the meantime, you can stay with Velma... And it's more than likely you'll be staying with her permanently." She nodded, as I squeezed her hand for comfort and reassurance. "Velma. "I turned around and looked at the principal. "Go get your things, you're going home early." I nodded, going to get my things from my locker. I met the mystery gang outside. "Alright gang, me and Webby are going home early, webby will be staying with me, okay?" " what happened? "She'll pick us up in about an hour, until then, how about we go get some lunch and go get your belongings? "She nodded hesitantly. "Don't worry I'll go with you, I promise." We arrived at webby's house.
The duckling knocked on the door hesitantly, probably waiting for her grandma to come out and lecture her. Instead, a duck with a red polo shirt and Cap answered the door, his eyes were glazed over, it looked like he'd been crying but for who, I didn't know. "Here Velma, these are webby's belongings... "He said shakily, handing me a purple duffel bag, a purple suitcase, and a few other necessary bags. I thanked him, he was about to close the door when where webby's webbed feet stopped him. "I'm sorry Huey... I would love to stay with you, but I can't, not with the way granny is treating me... "She paused, going over and hugging him. "I know. I bent down to his level putting my hand on his shoulder, "I will, I promise..." I told him, he nodded, smiling the tiniest of smiles. "I'll say goodbye to my brothers for you, thank you for being the best friend anyone of us could've asked for." He said hugging her one more time, before going back into the house and closing the door.

I nodded, understanding how that felt. "Come on, let's go get some lunch my Mom'll  be picking us up in half an hour."
She nodded, we walked to a nearby diner, we walked inside we talked to the hostess who gave us a table in the very back. After about 15 minutes of us choosing what we wanted to eat, I called the waiter over, I gaspedwhen I got a closer look at him. " Fred?"
