Fate [Armin X Reader AU]

Armin was walking through the library with a stack of books looking for more and more books to read.

He then noticed a girl struggling to put a bunch of books in their rightful places, while a bunch of other kids kept putting books in the wrong place, making what she was trying to do a lot harder.

There was one kid with am awkward buzz cut that pulled out a book she just put away, he read the cover, then put it in the wrong place.

"Ugh, SERIOUSLY!" She yelled as he walked away not giving a damn.

"Here let me help" Armin smiled and set his books down on the table at the end of the bookshelf.

He took a few books off the top if her stack and put them in the correct order.

"Thank you-"

"My name is Armin" He smiled.

"Well Thank You, Armin" She smiled back.

"Armin we gotta go, Jean needs us to bail him out of jail...AGAIN!" Sighed his best friend Eren.

"Again?"

"Yes, again!" He raised his voice a tad bit.

"Eren lower your voice, we're in a library for titans sake" He sighed.

"Well it was nice to meet you Armin, and thank you!" The girl cheered.

"No problem" He smiled and walked out of the library with Eren.

He soon became a usual at the library, always helping the girl with her job.

The became really good friends, but Eren started to become jealous, scared that this innocent girl would take his best friend (and perhaps crush) away from him.

One day after Eren's college classes he headed to the library to have a chat with the girl.

He went up to the front desk to ask if she was working today.

"Oh yes, she just got off her shift. If you hurry you might catch her heading to her car out back" Smiled the man at the front.

"Thank you!" Smiled Eren as he went out the employee exit.

He saw her and grabbed her by the  arm and spun her around, exposing her surprised expression.

"Oh Eren, Hey, what are you doing here?"

"NOW LISTEN HERE GIRLY! ARMIN IS TOO SPECIAL AND DELICATE TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND, BECAUSE SHE WILL EVENTUALLY TEAR HIS HEART IN HALF AND HE WILL NEED ME THERE TO COMFORT HIM. AND I CANT BE THERE 24/7 TO HELP HIM CAUSE I HAVE COLLEGE CLASSES!" He stopped for a second to take in a breath.

"SO JUST PLEASE, STAY AWAY. FOR HIS AND MY SAKE!" He finalized.

She then held up the phone to reveal that Armin was on the phone the whole time and heard everything.

"E-Eren..." Was all he managed to say.

"Oh...Armin" He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Eren, me and (y/n) have been dating for a few weeks now"

Eren was heartbroken, he had constantly given Armin small hints showing that he had feelings for him, but that blonde idiot never caught on and went and got a girlfriend.

Eren's theory was wrong, Armin and (y/n) grew up together, got married, had kids, never once cheated on each other. It was as god had planned for the two to meet that day at that library.

I guess you could call it... Fate
