The school day is over and he hasn't even looked at me, again I'm invisible.
I hope he would look at me the way he did when he hit me. It was like he wanted to kiss me. I just can't get over the intense connection we had. But it's not worth it, a jock liking a nerd, it would ruin his reputation.
My mom walks in, crying. I'm confused because today was the day my dad is coming home from over seas.
"Honey, something has happened." With tears and mascara steaming down her face. "Something is really wrong."
"Mom, what happened,what's wrong."
" it's your father......"
"Mom."
"He was.....sh......sh....shot."
"No, no, NO this cant happen, why."

"It was one of his friends on ship with him, they must of not got along, I'm sorry Summer."
She walks out closing the door softly. I close my eyes,
