Monday, September 24th, 2020.

Kris' alarm went off, emitting a very loud and annoying noise. He smacked and swatted his desk until the phone alarm stopped to which the boy groaned and slumped out of bed.

"Looks like it's time to get up." He said groggily.

He pushed himself off of the floor and on to his feet, and walked downstairs to the sight of his mother making him some waffles.

"Hello Kris! I'm surprised I didn't have to wake you up today! Anyways, I'm making waffles for your breakfast, now hurry up and.. well, you're already in your clothes. Here are your waffles!"
Kris nodded and plated his waffles. Three golden square waffles, bedecked with powdered sugar, chocolate chips melting so beautifully on the waffle surface, chocolate syrup... chocolate.. chips are inside the waffles.. there's brownie bits too... wait isn't this just dessert from last night?

Kris ate his waffles and walked into the bathroom where he prepared to get ready for school.
He brushed his teeth, combed his hair out to its puffy, usual brown mop. Afterwards he ran upstairs to his closet to change into his usual wear, a green sweater and brown sweatpants.

Kris hated jeans. They made him very uncomfortable, and he could never find a pair that fit him, so he just wore sweatpants all the time. There are some pros and cons to sweatpants, such as the fact they're comfortable, but the problem is they heat up more than jeans. Kris didn't care. He just walked out to his mother's car and was driven to school.

"So how has school been?"

"It's been good."

"That's nice! How about your friend?"

"Oh, her?"

"Her?" Toriel blushed, "Who is she? Oh is it Noelle?"

"No it isn't, it's uh... a new person, her name is Susie."

"Oh! That's.. interesting.. what's her last name?"

"I don't know."

"Okay."

Toriel continued driving to the school. "You know.. you never hang out with Noelle anymore. Like you did when you were kids." Kris fell silent and tried to choose his words carefully. "I haven't really felt super social except for yesterday. But even then I felt like I was someone else. Plus, didn't ours and their family drift apart? And you still haven't told me why."

"I will tell you when you are old enough to understand."

Kris just brushed it off and muttered "...whatever."

"But you should talk to Noelle more! I think it would be healthy to keep friendships as good as hers in your life."

"Well, we're here." Toriel said.

They both got out of the car and walked into the school.

"Have a good day at school my child." She smiled as she said this and looked at Kris gleefully.

"I will ma." He said in reply.

She hugged her child goodbye, and went their separate ways.

Kris put his stuff up in the locker he owned and walked to class.

He walked through the door and greeted his teacher.

"Hi Ms. Alphys." He said flatly.

"H-hi Kris." She said shakily, "d-did your mother need anything from me? Like maybe a quiz sheet for her senior class today? It's hard having to juggle between two classes on two different days but I guess it's what she want- Anyways did she need anything?"
