Chapter 3

Bribery

“Where are you taking us, Scott?” India laughed as Scott had her eyes shut and guided her into the shop. Corbin was doing the same thing to Ruby. They thought they were going on a double date tonight. 

Two weeks ago, I was too late. All I saw was, I suspected, Ruby speeding off. In those two weeks I almost lost my sanity. To keep me occupied, I devised strategies between the pack. I had to find her. 

The two guys led them into the shop and sat then down in front of me. 

“Hello, ladies.” I smiled, making the two girls gasp at me, and than at where they were. 

Right now, they were surrounded by priceless jewels. I called in a favour and had twenty boxes of designer shoes that weren’t to go on release for another two weeks. I had the shoes lined out ready and they could take their pick of jewellery. 

“Oh my God,” India squeaked, spotting the shoes. Ruby was lost for words. 

“Ladies, I’m going to make a deal with you.” I smiled slyly. 

“And what might this deal involve?” Ruby raised her chin, challenging. 

“You answer all my questions on your sister, and you can have anything you like in here.” 

“Anything we like?” India gulped, just as Ruby said, “Everything we like?”

“Yes,”

India and Ruby looked at each other, “Deal!”

It was that simple?

“I want any piece of jewellery I want,” Ruby said, “And I will tell you anything from the embarrassing stuff, to baby photos.”

I grinned. Interesting...

“This is boring!” I groaned as we toured the museum, “I didn’t think I could actually die of boredom.”

“Oh, stop your whining!” Cooper grinned, draping an arm around me. 

“Shut the fuck up before I make you,” I growled. 

“Ah, Silver, you say the nicest things to me.” Cooper said, as though I touched his heart. I couldn’t help but smile. 

Once again, I was dragged into school. 

Dad went crazy when he found Ash knocked out in the cleaning closet. I got grounded, even though I just walked out of the house with him yelling at my back. 

“And this is one of the museums most prized possessions,” The tour guide said lovingly. I tuned her out as she yakked on and on... boring.

“Cooper, you up for some fun?” I yawned.

“Depends. Will I be bait or will I get into so much trouble that I’ll be scarred for life?”

“Both, maybe.”

“What do you have in mind?”

“It’s a surprise.” I grinned mischievously. 

“Oh God, you’re pulling that look,” Cooper moaned.

“What look?”

“The look that says ‘the wolf is out for mischief’ look.” 

I smiled wider, “Precisely.”

“Now, what do you think you are doing, Little Pup?” That sexy, seductive voice whispered in my ear.

I jumped a million miles, “Jesus!”
