The Wednesday before school closed in my county, a kid yelled out at lunchtime, "I'm gay and I'm proud!" A teacher named Mrs. Karen expelled him for the rest of the week.
I was absent that day and the day after, but apparently on Thursday the kids rioted during our version of free period, and Friday (the day I got back to school) he was back at school because the teachers couldn't handle it.
Little did we all know that this would be our last week of real school.
