Everytime I see
your face that I buried
in the deepest of my memories,
I feel a little broken
for a moment,
letting the heartbreak
sink in for the thousandth time.
And then your words
flash across my mind,
"you're never alone, love"
and for the thousandth time,
it reminds me
of the twinkle in your eyes,
when you said those words.
Those eyes, my God
what I'd do to catch
a fleeting glimpse of them.
It breaks me
just a tiny bit more.
Another tiny crack
in my already aching heart.
And the next moment,
I pick up pieces of our memories
burying it deep in my mind,
for the thousandth time,
all the while knowing
that you'll resurface,
for the thousandth time
and again.

And, thank you so so much to wake-pray-slay who is the kindest friend ever and who made me a cover! And it's the most beautiful thing ever! She's such an amazing writer Ma Shaa Allah, and her book Muntazir is the CUTEST book ever! *cries*
Here's the cover she made for me:
And she made the previous cover too, which was also so gorgeous 😭
If you haven't already read her book, please do, I promise you'll love it! ^_^Much love,
Melody
