All my life I've been a shadow, I supported everyone and everything to become stronger, my peers, my squad and I myself felt like I was falling behind. But why did I do it? Why do I feel like I needed to bring everyone forward? Even though I never got anything out of it. Even though I'm a shadow I still like my squad 6, and I love my captain. However I would never tell him... never my heart would break if he knew. I knew about his past and I knew about his sister and I knew how my lieutenant Renji felt about his sister. I let everything pass by me. However one day as I was walking in the Squad of the 6th division. There was hustling and bustling and soul reapers running everywhere. I then paused as Lieutenant Renji ran up to me. "Ashley you have to guard the Sereitei against a huge and powerful hollow" he said, as I nodded and ran towards the location of the hollow and I blocked off the hollow as it was about to attack some of my other squad members. My eyes widened as I was thrown back against a wall and hit my back. I screamed in pain and then I looked up glaring at the hollow that was hovering over me. I growled and held out my hand. As I did one of my samurai swords appeared in my hands. "Koru Botsunyuu" I whispered, and then in a flash the hollow was gone. I got up and took a deep breath. "Where did it go?" asked Renji, as I turned away from him and walked back to the squad and sighed sitting on a porch. "Ashley" said a voice, as I turned my head seeing Rukia. "Hello Rukia" I said, as she smiled sitting next to me. "What happened back there?" asked Rukia, as I paused and smiled. "It's nothing don't worry about it" I said, as she nodded and walked away. I started breathing heavily and held onto my arm. However I then jumped as a shadow came over me. I turned my head and blushed seeing Captain Kuchiki. "Captain" I said standing up and he sat down and patted the seat. I blinked a few times and then sat next to him. "I know what you did Ashley" he said, as I looked at him closing his eyes. "Sorry?" I questioned, as he sighed. "Your powers... you absorb the hollow and it destroys your body" he said, as my eyes widened. "How did you?" I asked, as he smirked and closed his eyes. "I've been watching you for a while now Ashley" he said, as I blushed and he kissed my cheek. I looked at him and then it started snowing. "I love you Ashley" he whispered, as I smiled and held his hand. "I do to Captain" I said, as he smiled.
