Fiery's POV

I awoke to the smell of something burning and slowly sat up. My entire living room was drowned in a hazy smoke, obscuring my view. A few coughs escaped as I gasped for air. I couldn't see the source of the fire.

Rapidly, I jumped out of bed and headed for the door. My fingers had a firm grasp of the handle, however I could not find myself to open it. "What's wrong with me?" I thought.

Slowly, I closed my eyes and turned around. There was no flame I could see. The only flame about was me.

I was on fire, but it didn't burn, or sting, or hurt. The flames felt like a part of me, like they had always been with me.

I sprinted out the door, not bothering with the handle. The trees were lit with golden flame. "The girl," I thought "Where is she?"

I ran through the burning forest, dodging falling branches and dead logs. I could no longer feel the ground beneath me. Tears clouded my vision. I collapsed into a clearing, but I was not alone.

I looked up at the figure, the mysterious girl I had grown to love.
"What's happening to me?!" I asked her.

"You are becoming one of us." She answered solemnly looking down at me.

"What do you mean? Are there others like me?" She looked off into the distance.

"Yes. We are few, but we exist. We have to power to control and become a certain thing, we call them objects. Everyone's is different, and come onto them at different points in their life. I noticed you were close to discovering your power, and decided to make contact." My nerves were slightly settled now, though everything felt like a dream.

"And who-who are you?" Suddenly all the leaves, dead and alive, clustered in a sort of indescribable fashion, and then disappeared with the girl. "Wait!" I screamed into the abandoned forest. I rose to my knees and whispered, "Help me, please."

I sat there for a moment, gathering my thoughts. I listened to the nearby crackles, and felt the hot, dry air attempt to suffocate me.

"At this point, you can only help yourself." I couldn't hear where her voice was coming from, it was just kinda there. Though, it held a deep sadness. "Just focus. You are the fire, and the fire is you."

I gulped, and looked around anxiously. I closed my eyes.

You are the fire

I could feel it the flames building up. I could hear their triumph and despair. I listened to them and their cries of happiness, and anguish. Then I realized, they were not the flames'.

The fire is you

They were my own.

Finally finished!! Yay the first finished fic I have! I hope you enjoyed it! I actually wrote all this on my phone, so I have no idea how long these have been. Anyway, it was a ton of fun to write, I might do an epilogue, or a sequel. I don't know. But if I do do something, it will not be anytime in the immediate future! Thank you so much for reading, and voting, and commenting. Your support means so much to me!

Best Regards,

Agatha Liz
