i sat up, my body still aching from only just waking up. there was a blanket place over me, but i was still naked underneath. billie wasnt on top of me anymore, but i could hear her footsteps in the kitchen. almost as soon as i had opened my eyes, a pounding headache hit me like a truck.

"ow, fuck." i cursed, scrunching my nose at the intense pain.

billie walked over to to me with a cup of water and something small in her hand. she sat beside me on the couch. "not used to hangovers?"

"not yet," i slowly shook my head. bil handed me an advil and the cup of water. i downed the pill with the water and placed it on the floor. she straddled me, which felt oddly nice.

"good morning." she kissed my forehead. i wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my head on her chest. "g'mrn'ng." i mumbled, my words being distorted from the laziness of my lips. bil giggled.

"how you doing mamas,"

i grunted, slumping into her chest. "no bueno." i groaned. her arms were swung around my neck.

"again, i'm sorry about dani, she sucks sometimes."

"that party sucked anyways. the beer and fries were better."

we rested in silence for a second. billie kissed my forehead again and held my face in her hands. she looked at me

"what's going on with you? you look upset,"

i shook my head, placing my hands on hers. "it's just, i wanted to know if last night was for real. or we were just drunk."

bil looked intensely into my eyes and brought my face close to hers. "dre, sure i was drunk, but that was real." i smiled sadly at her. my heart felt heavy. "i met you a couple days ago, but i'm not playing with you. i fell so hard for you when i saw you at that bar." she kissed my lightly on the lips. she still tasted sweet. i started feeling less upset and sunk into her embrace. we pulled away.

"billie," i whispered.

"dre," she whispered back.

we sat in silence for another moment. this silence felt good, comforting. her eyes seemed to glow even when there wasn't any dark. bil was perfect. that's the only way you could ever describe her.

billie's phone started to ringing as it vibrated on the table beside the couch. she awkwardly leaned over and grabbed it. swiping right, she held it up to her ear.

"heyy, claudia." bil turned had a blank face.

"yea, i'm at your house right now, i crashed here after dre drove me home from the party." she turned to me with a confused expression, knowing she was making it up.

"yep. she's here."

"oh, that's weird, maybe her phones on silent?"

"she's—" billie paused to think of an excuse. "sleeping."

"ok bye," bil put the phone down. "claudia has been calling you apparently."

"really?" i got up from the couch and skidded over to the kitchen counter where i left my phone. just as she said, i had several texts from claudia and a couple others. i cursed under my breath as i read through clau's concerned texts. billie came up from behind and hugged my waist, making me realize that i was still completely naked.

i blushed. "oh shit, sorry." i tried to walk toward the stairs, but billie held my waist.

"nah, i like it," she giggled. she rested her head on my shoulder and quickly switched to gently grabbing my boobs. i flinched as billie laughed her iconic laugh.

after she finally let me go, i started towards the stairs. "ima go put some clothes on," i said. "order some food or something."

"i wish you wouldn't have clothes on!" bil called from downstairs. i giggled quietly.

"cute motherfucker."
