The room itself is strange.
Far too luxurious or proportioned to be anywhere in the compound. No. I'm out, in someone else's hands now.
I drag my hands through my hair and pull it back and away from my face. I'm still slightly groggy from the gas used, but I hype myself up and run on adrenaline.
The ceiling is high, easily high enough for another room above this one with an actual chandelier filling the space. It's ornate, like everything in this room.
The walls have an edging of carved plaster or wood and have painted duck egg blue panels on very wall with more carved edgings. Upon further inspection, the panels are made of steel or some metal as I knock gently on them.
The bed huge, easily a kings with four posters and light grey silken curtains falling from each and covering above the bed. I rifle through the covers and under the mattress but find nothing.
There's a general colour theme in the room of greys, blues and the occasional dark gold.
I don't check the door yet, either as there are two in the room.
Instead I go to the huge windows and battle the matching massive curtains and lace under-curtain.
When I look out of the window, my heart sinks. The first thing I see out of the window is a massive garden that sprawls for ages but the image is strangely distorted through the glass.
It has neatly kept bushes and plants and many beautiful flowers planted in perfect rows along clear wide paths. There are arches with vines and flowers interwoven surrounding a small lake or large fountain and just beyond the garden, a ring of bushes leading off into the largest maze I've ever seen. I can't quite make out the paths because of the strange distortion in the window but I can tell it's vast.
I focus back on the window itself as I fail to squint through them. They function as windows, but only well for things close by. It's because they're so thick.
They're easily the thickest windows I've ever seen. You can tell they've tried to hide how thick they are in the edge of the window setting, but there's only so much you can do.
It's bullet proof glass.
I can tell by the way it has layers of something in it, a poly-somethingorother. Vinyl or piptide.
It must have cost a fortune to get made so large, but then again this was the home of one of the richest men in the world, truelly - and not just the richest on the Forbes, but including the black market and less legal ways of obtaining things. He made the entirety of Satan's empire look like pocket change with the money he was offering just for BTS.
Finally, as the panic in my blood was filtered out by some rational returning to me, I turned back towards the doors.
Holding my breath, I pulled at the first door, finding it locked securely.
I move onto the second and turn the handle, shocked to hear a latch click open. My pulse immediately sky rockets and I move to the balls of my feet.
I leap back as I tear the door away and stare into the near empty room.
It's a closet.
Only one dress hangs, with a small table in the center of the room. On it lie a pair of long grey gloves, a matching pair of underwear and bra, and beside a pair of steel grey silken heels that go up to the ankle and lace up.
The dress itself is massive, with dark jade green fabric that shines in the light. It has some type of tooling beneath the skirt that rounds it out and a corset style top with minimal detailing on it.
