The weekdays passed like it only took an hour or two, giving us— the students, to finally enjoy the weekend we've all been waiting for, but not for me.

It's Friday, six thirty-seven in the evening when Lily came barging in my room with two large boxes on her hands and two other small boxes that were on top of the other large ones.

"What are those, Lil?" I asked as I turned my gaze on her while I lay on my bed. I was totally skeptical at her right now, thinking of what those boxes are for.

"Just sit up straight and you'll see." She said as she placed the boxes next to me. I took a small box and opened it, it was a rose gold stiletto.

"What are these for, Lily?" I asked her in confusement but I totally have something in mind.

"It's our outfit for tomorrow!" She squealed with pure excitement in her eyes. She opened one large box and it revealed a beautiful diamond beaded rose gold cocktail dress. It's so enticing that you would really want to wear it and flaunt it.

Lily took the dress out and hanged it in a clothe's rack. It beautifully shined as the rays of the light hit on its diamond beads. The dress really look beautiful and so sexy.

"And this is yours." She said as she placed the stilettos under the dress to match it. I'm not lying, I'd love to wear those but I'm not really going to the party.

I blankly stared at her for a few seconds and waited for her to explain more about what's happening but I guess she figured out what's in my mind.

"You're coming." She said as she unzipped the back of the cocktail dress. She looked completely serious about dragging me into that acquaintance party.

"Lily, I'm not, besides I don't possess any date at all, I'd be all alone." I said as I crossed my arms and just sat on the bed looking at her.

"Stop kidding yourself. Paolo will be there and he will be your date." Lil replied as she went to me and made me fit the dress.

"Lily, I'm being serious." I said crossing my arms at her. She laughed at me with a big smile and just crossed her arms too.

Lily is such a goof ball, I wonder how Jackson can keep up with her with her silly schemes. I have no other way out and I'm pretty sure Lily's not going out of my room if I don't fit it.

I went in the bath room, fitted the dress and wore the heels. It fits me really well like it's tailor made for me.

I patted the dress as I opened the door and saw Lily turn her back and faced me with a huge gasp. She covered her mouth with both her hands as she approached me.

"Wow, Brixie! You look stunning." She said as she slightly tuck a bunch of hair behind my ear. The dress sparkled as lights hit its beads when I move around. I'm in love.

"Your curled hair will complete the look." Lily said as she smiled at me— looking really satisfied with her accomplishment.

It's five thirty nine in the evening when the make up artist my mother hired got finished with all the preparations. My hair was pinned on the sides and it drops on my back with its curls.

"Oh darling, you look lovely." My mom said as she enter my bedroom. She stared at me for awhile then approached and hugged me.

"Thank you, mom, though hiring Bella was a little extra, I still appreciate it. Make sure you give Bella a tip, she did great." I replied as I looked at my reflection on the mirror.

I was wearing the dress that Lily gave me yesterday, and I promised her I'd come. Well, every student needs to attend it but I'm stubborn but still needed to be there.

"Thank you so much for making my daughter very beautiful tonight, Bella." Mom said as she gently patted my dress.

"It's a pleasure working with such amazing and beautiful daughter of yours." Bella said as she finally packed her things.

I stared at the mirror once more, totally surprised of how the outcome change every detail of my appearance. My hair was curled a little bit as it flows down on my back, the sides were pinned with diamond beaded hair clips that really suits the whole outfit.

I licked my lips as I slightly tucked a loose hair behind my ear and smiled. I never knew I can look like this.

"Here's your purse, my dear." My mom said as she handed me a small purse she had years ago. The purse compliments the outfit very well.

"Thank you, mom." I said as I hugged really tight and kissed her in the cheeks.

"Anything for you, honey." She replied.

It was already six, only an hour left before the party starts. I hurried down stairs as I tipped the tip of my stilettos to avoid lounging myself straight into the ground. My mom hurried down with me as she slowly straightened the back part of the dress.

I saw my pops went out the kitchen and stared straight at me in pure awe. He was astounded, I can see.

"Is that you my princess?" My pops said as he went and hugged me. He cupped my face and just stared at me and smiled. "I love you, darling dear." He said with tears in his eyes. I hugged my pops so tight as he kissed me in the forehead.

"Thank you pops. I love you too so much."

I searched my tiny purse if all the things I needed were in when I heard a knock on the door. I looked at my mom as she opened the door, revealing Paolo.

"Paolo." I said in total shock.

"Hi, are you ready?" He said waving at me. He was wearing his tuxedo with his hair brushed to his back.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm picking you up." He said as he smiled and waved at my mom. He was wearing his leather watch and a tiny handkerchief peeked through his pocket. He looked so, masculine.

"But your date?" I asked in pure awe. I wasn't truly informed of his whereabout, who will his date be and neither do I know that he is picking me up.

"You're my date." He replied as he lend me his hands. I hesitated at some point thinking he might have ditched a girl to grant one of Lily's request but seeing how serious he looked, I somehow felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Paolo." I said, totally flabbergasted.

"You really look amazing tonight." He whispered as I gave him my hands and he gently squeezed it. I felt safe and happy.

My mom closed the door behind me as Paolo opened the door of his car for me. He was so sweet and so thoughtful that he even put his hands above my head so my hair won't be messed up.

The moment he started the engine, I felt as if it was my Cinderella moment, having a boy who cares for me and accompanying me to a party I thought I am going to be alone.

Butterflies were not in my stomach anymore, they're everywhere!

"You're so perfect, Brixie." He said in thin air. I glanced at him as he steered the car wheels and lights shined his face making every detail of him become visible.

"Paolo, can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?"

"Do you like me?" I asked without thinking of every consequence that may happen after. I stared into his eyes as he stopped the car due to the red traffic light and he looked at me.

He looked at me with his sparkling eyes and just...

Smiled.
