*tap tap tap tap tap* went my speedy little feed against the grass. I didn't care if I was out of sight already. I needed somewhere to run. Finally, I took a rest down by my favorite tree just at the peak of a hill, where all my things are. A cozy haven with the added bonus of the beautiful sunshine rays seeping through the cloth of my tent. A call chill settled around me where the wind left it's prints. "That boy..." I sighed. That boy. "He's...he's crazy! Looking at me like that..."

I spoke to myself

I spoke to myself. "Doesn't he know he can get a girl like me in just as much trouble as he was in? And that...THING." I felt my face begin to glow pink. "That thing was made from Truffula Tufts! He must have chopped down one of the forest's trees for his own selfish gain! What a scoundrel!" Anger fueled my body and made my head feel like a plump tomato. How could he? The forest is like father to me!

"What if I missed the paying of respects? Oh jeez

"What if I missed the paying of respects? Oh jeez...I ought to go down there tonight and look for it so I can....*sigh*...say goodbye." In the back of my head I thought about that boy. I pictured his... hypnotizing blue eyes staring at me like they did at the gazebo. His squishy looking face and his stupid fluffy hair. I sighed yet again, but this time a sigh of disappointment. A wash of sadness fell over me. I wasn't sure what it was for, but I of course chalked it up to being sad about the death of a poor innocent tree. So I did what I always did when I felt sad...when I felt lonely...when I felt afraid...

I drew myself a friend. This time she was a little redhead girl with pigtails and a rosy pink dress. I made her another one if my little sisters. A bit more of my new family, and a bit more love for my lonely heart. I took a paperclip from my mini-shelf and stuck it on an empty space on my tent. "Hope you like it here, lil sis." A smile cracked on my lips. Now this. Is family.

I let the day pass by until the sun fell and the stars slowly speckled across the sky like they did every night

I let the day pass by until the sun fell and the stars slowly speckled across the sky like they did every night. It was pleasant, but I didn't have stars on my mind. I was out to pay my respects to the fallen tree that was out there somewhere. I thought night would be a better time just to be sure no people were around. I slipped a nice rock, which I had painted on with a blue heart, into my tiny bookbag and made my way to search for the broken tree. It could be anywhere, in all honesty, but I'd search for hours at a time just to say goodbye. I walked for a good while, fairly deep into the woods. Further than I usually go, that is. I saw a glowing light in the distance...kind of like the dim glow of a candle. Very curious...I slowed down my pacing and quieted my steps out of suspicion. And that's when I heard a very scary noise. Not scary because I didn't know what it was, but scary because I didn't know why it was here. The whiney of a young mule!

Quiet, but indistinctive! I hurried to find the animal, dashing as quietly as I could toward the light

Quiet, but indistinctive! I hurried to find the animal, dashing as quietly as I could toward the light. The mule slowly but surely came to view and I was able to make out his features. He had a big white snoot, adorably short legs and soft looking fur, but the poor baby had a saddle around his back! Somebody in particular came to mind for who this could be behind...all the signs pointed to that silly hipster boy. But, I won't jump to conclusions. I've got a new mission. I'm going to rescue this poor animal.
