the overcast sky wasn't shifting as the two boys snuck out of the dorm, and jeno only told them to take an umbrella. they were "escaping" to unwind at chenle's house, which meant jisung just wanted to spend some time with chenle, play video games, and eat.

chenle looked over at jisung, who was squinting at the sky, looking for rain. not for the first time, chenle absorbed the flawless sculpture that was park jisung.

"do i have something on my face lele?" jisung asked, looking over at chenle, their noses barely missing brushing together. chenle hadn't realised how close he was to the younger boy, and any words that were going to come out of his mouth stalled at the soft look on jisung's face. no matter jisung was slightly bent down to be eye to eye, chenle wasn't even mad he was teasing him that way.

jisung didn't know what was overcoming him, but he gently brushed his fingers over chenle's cheek, silently admiring the smooth skin under his fingers. he always admired how chenle was - well, how chenle was flawless.

he'd always thought that, from when they met to this point. chenle was truly flawless.

of course, the soft patter of rain interrupted them, and jisung quickly opened the umbrella. their eye contact was broken in the process, and chenle was frozen as jisung pulled him closer so he was under the umbrella too. "we can't have you getting a cold."

"yeah," chenle said softly. they quickly made it to chenle's house, bursting inside to see the maid smiling at them.

"hello boys," she smiled. "mr. zhong, the kitchen is ready for you."

"what's for dinner?"

"we have two choices!" chenle responded as jisung shrugged off his jacket and backpack. "we can make wonton soup or sesame ginger beef with rice! oh, or we can have mongolian beef ramen?"

"the beef ramen!" jisung was really fine with anything, but chenle's face had lit up when he remembered they had the ramen, and so he picked it.

"awesome!" chenle beamed, bouncing into the kitchen while chattering a million miles a minute about everything that went into the ramen and how it was fun to make. "you have to help though!" chenle pointed at jisung, and jisung chuckled.

"lele, i don't know how to cook the way you do."

"i've offered to teach you!" chenle whined, grabbing an apron and throwing it at jisung before grabbing his own. "you can help me cut stuff then."

"stuff? so specific."

"shut up," chenle said back, grabbing ingredients and dumping them on the counter as jisung hunted for cutting boards.

"make me," jisung teased, only for chenle to whack him with a spatula. "hey!"

chenle's face was the colour of a fire truck, and jisung couldn't help but pinch his neck softly where the blush had spread. "cute."

"let's just make dinner!" chenle screamed, making the maid and jisung flinch as he aggressively started mincing the peeled garlic cloves.

"silly," jisung muttered, looking at chenle with a smile on his face.
