the older members looked up as jisung burst into the practice room, a look of determination on his face. as they watched, jisung locked the door and plugged in his music to the speaker and immediately blasting siren by sunmi.

"you good?" mark finally asked, and jisung looked at him with wide eyes.

"no."

"good to know." donghyuck said. "also, where's chenle?"

"i may have made him late so that i could talk to you all," jisung muttered awkwardly, and jaemin burst into laughter.

"why?" jeno asked, more curious on that aspect.

"i was just wondering how you kissed someone." jisung puffed his cheeks as his neck flushed, and immediately the rest of dream - minus chenle, who was trying to find a pair of shoes which is what jisung had stolen - cooed over the boy.

"you smash your lips together."

"hyuck you don't smash them, just do it simply! like a light press." jaemin tried to explain, then gestured at jeno. "get over here and let me demonstrate."

"i-"

"wait, you've been dating for how long?" renjun asked, and jisung groaned internally.

"four months."

"and you haven't kissed him?"

"i don't know how to kiss and i want it to be perfect for chenle," jisung said shyly, and jaemin ruffled his hair before tackling jeno to give him a "demonstration."

"have you kissed his cheek or forehead?" renjun asked, ignoring his two crushed tussling next to him. he could deal with them later.

"yeah," jisung said, and renjun nodded.

"just do that on his lips then," mark said, shrugging.

"just casually?" jisung asked, and everyone nodded as jisung's phone went off and he answered it to hear chenle screaming at him.

"ya, zhong jisung, what did you do with my shoes?"

jisung didn't know the right time. right now, they were in chenle's living room, playing mortal kombat 11 while the slow cooker finished their meal.

and while chenle mercilessly killed whoever came across the screen, jisung just wanted to kiss the excited boy.

"jisung! backup!" chenle shouted, and jisung snapped out of it, immediately turning his attention back to the screen and helping chenle out.

once they had cleared the level, chenle let out a sigh of relief and flopped onto jisung, his head landing in jisung's lap. "finally!"

"how long did you say you'd been stuck there?"

"since 2001!" chenle proclaimed dramatically, and jisung chuckled at that, carding his fingers through chenle's soft hair. "but i could have done it without you you know. all you did was space out!"

"take that back," jisung said, playfully glaring at chenle, who only sat up and stuck out his tongue.

"make me zhong jisung, you won't." jisung raised an eyebrow before lunging at chenle, who squealed and raced off.

"it's park! park jisung!"

"zhong sounds better!" chenle screamed as he thundered up the stairs, jisung close behind him.

when jisung caught up to chenle, for some reason, chenle was trying to hide in the bathtub.

which wasn't a good place.

jisung picked him up and hauled him downstairs despite chenle's struggling and squeals, and threw him onto the couch to begin tickling him.

"ya! ji- oh god i can't breathe! jisung! i yield!" chenle screamed, his laughter coming in breathless puffs, and jisung could only grin victoriously, chenle beneath him still trying to catch his breath.

"so you did need me to beat that game?"

"yes," chenle pouted, only for jisung to tickle him more. "yes! yes i did ji!" he managed, and jisung stopped tickling him again, smiling widely.

"you're red."

"so what?" chenle asked, and jisung gulped, noticing the position they were in with chenle beneath him and just how captivating chenle looked.

without saying anything, jisung lowered his head swiftly and promptly bumped noses with chenle, making both of them wince.

jisung pulled back, internally groaning at his utter incompetence, but chenle just giggled, grabbing fistfuls of jisung's shirt and pulling him down gently just to press his lips against jisung's.

jisung felt like fireworks were exploding, his stomach was in knots, time had stopped, the only thing in the world that mattered was his boyfriend's lips against his.

chenle honestly couldn't believe he had the nerve to do that. he was kissing jisung. his lips were on jisung's. and they were much more chapped than he would have thought, but to chenle, it was like heaven was blessing him over and over again.

when jisung pulled away, he was bright red, and chenle giggled. "cute."

"i'm not the only one who's cute," jisung responded, and chenle beamed at him.

every gesture in the past, present, and future, was meaningful. it always had been.

they had just been too blind to see it.
