"Samantha!" She was frozen in place as Charles quickly pulled her in his arms. Her legs moved in his direction as it was a close call before anything would happen to them.

It was weird the truck didn't stop, instead honking at her. Samantha was sobbing in front of him while his hands were tense on her arms became softer. He expected her to cry from that disastrous event.

"Don't cry…" He was uneasy to see someone crying, especially a woman. "I should accompany you to your house if that's alright for you?" The sobbing becomes softer until the sound fates away.

"T-Thank you…" Her voice was quivering and unstable to speak with clarity. "But you don't need to. I could go home by myself," Baldi didn't know how to help this woman, yet at least, he did comfort her a little.

"Okay, take care then,"  he walked to the school with her and went to their vehicles. He hoped she wasn't traumatized. Then, Samantha started the car and drove to her house.

While she was driving, she didn't know how she felt. As if she had done it before but this is the first time she felt she was going to die. She never had any road accidents and she never had any events that could make her feel death is approaching her.

Perhaps music could soothe her, make her feel calm. She turned up the radio and suddenly listened to her favorite song. Then, her heart was at ease. She listens to it until it is over, then a news reporter starts to speak on the street.

"This is Jessica from New York City," Samantha also likes listening to news as she turns the volume up a little. "We just received a case that someone was murdered in an alleyway and one in a house at Wall Street."

It got her attention before she listened to her words carefully. "This case was not the first time but it's the fifth time people were getting killed recently. It all started two weeks ago. And we haven't captured this wanted criminal."

The reporter sighed as she also felt depressed to hear this case. "And now for the weather report," Playtime turns it off and focuses on the road.

She reached her destination as she walked up the stairs. She thinks more of the murderer, who killed those innocent citizens? I just felt I knew the answer.

She walked to her front door and searched for her keys in her bag. "Where is it anyway? I should put it where I could easily find it," she mumbles before realising she has someone moving in.

It was a week ago yet she didn't meet her new neighbor(s). Samantha wishes she could have the chance to meet him/her. She went into her apartment and gently put her bag aside on a coffee table where it is in the living room. Tossed herself on the sofa and felt exhausted from work.

She closed her eyes as soon as darkness devoured her.

While on the other hand, Charles is at his home doing something. He's using his laptop on the dinning table doing his work then finishing his unpacked furniture and other objects.

All the items are still in the boxes and he is quite busy at school, making questions for the upcoming test in March. He exhaled through his nostrils from tiredness, yet he was almost finished with the questions.

He turned to the direction of the boxes and sighed, needing to unpack it after he finished his work. "Well I have time to unpack my things," after an hour, he started taking out his stuff.

He takes several boxes which are kitchen utensils wrapped around with bubble wrap. He carefully took out his lovely teapot with its beautiful painted floral decor on it.

He smiles as he puts it with gentleness on the table and takes the others. After packing all his items, one particular box caught his eyes. "Ah, I need to set the television on the wall," He took out his flat television and hung it on the wall.

Baldi was really good at doing things by himself like setting the television on the wall or making a bookshelf last week. You could say he's a professional on DIY materials. Charles saw a piece of hair in the box.

The hair most likely belongs to a woman as the hair is long. It's not a piece but a bundle of it. It is tied up, which seems like a hairband and a good few of blood on it.

He throws the hair, looking as if it's ordinary. He finally sees his new place to live. He read the clock, 5:34 pm. The weather is good, not too hot and it's mostly cloudy. "It is a great time to have a jog in the park."

Then he changed his clothes and wore more proper clothes than a sweater and jeans. He decided to wear a red t-shirt and pants that reached to his knees. "Alright." He closed the door but heard someone do the same action simultaneously.

He turned to the sound to see a woman standing beside him. She was wearing a red dress with long hair that looked immaculate. "You live here Samantha?" Charles speaks up first as she is puzzled by his appearance.

"Wait, you're my new neighbor?!" She got closer to him as her voice was almost a shout, but it didn't disturb the other residents. "Sorry um…you live here?" She asked politely than almost shouted at him.

"Apparently yes," he put his keys in his left pocket and continued the conversation. "The fact that I'm in front of you, closing the door using a key means this is my property."

Charles looked at the woman and asked a question. "You live alone right?" He asked as she flinched by his words. She nodded as she really lives alone.

"It's better if you have two in the apartment. Lately, there is a murderer on the loose and maybe it's not safe here." She felt he concern for her and Playtime reassures him.

"It's okay. I even can defend myself thanks to my dad. He taught me some martial arts when I was in primary school," Charles spread a smile as he looked relieved.

"That's good. If you can defend, then I'm okay with it," he looked at the time, it's still early. "Well, I'm going to the park for a jog. See you tomorrow Samantha."

He left the woman at her door before she follows him to the stairs but didn't talk in the process. They go their separate ways and go to their destination.

Playtime goes to the grocery store buying some vegetables, fruits and meat. But for some reason, she saw the meat and felt an eerie feeling run through her spine.

"I have a strange feeling that I met Charles before. But we didn't even meet."
