Welcome to the Dead Poet's Society Awards 2020! Being organized for the first time this year by our founder TheSamyP & co-founders oikMild and poeticalsailor
After observing minutely and deliberating over facts, we've come to the simple conclusion that being underappreciated discourages over thousands of aspiring authors every year. The lack of reads and votes on the stories we've worked so hard on makes us feel like our work has been disparaged, or denigrated, and rightly so.
Hence, we feel like it's our responsibility to do whatever we can to ensure that authors like ourselves, get the recognition they deserve. This, we bring to you, an awards that would not only review your works and judge you based on what you've written so far, but also give you useful guidelines and quick pointers on how you can improve further, so as to cover that additional mile to being acknowledged that you deserve.
We only implore you to be candid and have an uninhibited mind towards constructive criticism. We also request all judges and participants to tread with kindness and acceptance every step of the way.
"That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse." - a quote from Dead Poet's Society, a movie that encapsulates the love of literature.
The namesake of our Award, and rightfully so at that. Our objective is to find and bring light upon that exact powerful verse from your wonderful contributions which the DEAD POET'S SOCIETY speaks of. The literary works which goes to show how writing; from the choice of words to the structure of the sentence, is art in itself. The likes of which mesmeries readers and inspires other writers.
