Kiara had never shared a room before. But she could see how ugly this could get. Starting of by the fact that Crystal is too loud for her to handle.

She's that kind of person you'd love to hang out with but when you're finally back home, you're super exhausted.

Then there's Casey. She's hard to read and closed off. Kind of the opposite of Crystal. Kiara was wondering how they managed to be such good friends.

'Opposites attract I guess.' Kiara thought.

Kiara was alone in the room. Casey and Crystal had left her after they showed her around. They wanted to give her some space to let it all sink in.
Kiara knew that she wasn't alone though.

'There are definitely guards standing in front of the door.'

They wouldn't be so stupid to leave the girl they took, alone in a room she could easily escape from.
Kiara then looked at the windows. There was no chance she could escape through those. The base was big and high up, if she'd jump she would definitely break some bones.

Kiara sighed. There really wasn't any way to escape without getting away unscathed.

She took another look around. The room was actually pretty nice. Crystal was probably the one who decorated it. It was colorful but calm and subtle. The room was pretty big. It was definitely made for a large number of people.

She sat down on one of the beds and took some time to take it all in. All she wanted to do today was to get some flowers and surprise Cassandra. Never had she thought that she would end up here, in a base of a secret organization.

Kiara took her phone out. She could call the cops and tell them she got taken?

But she knew that was probably gonna get her into even more trouble.

'They probably don't even have the authority to do anything. The organization has a lot of power. Remember Dorian? It took him seconds to find out who I am.'

Kiara didn't like to think about this. She was scared of the power they had. Crystal  didn't seem that threatening but one glance at Dorian or Casey to know where the hell she actually was.

There was a knock on the door and Kiara jumped up. It pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Hey, it's Sean. Can I come in?"

Sean Miller. Kiara remembered. He was the one driving the car and she recognized him as the boy who hadn't said anything.

That's why Kiara hadn't realized that this boy, Sean Miller, had a British accent!
For some reason, it made Kiara feel somewhat better.

She opened the door and gestured for Sean the get in.
"I didn't know I had to give you permission, since this is Crystal and Casey's room." Kiara said while closing the door. She saw that she was indeed right about the guards. There were two standing on either side of the door like she was some kind of prisoner.

"Well it's also temporarily yours right?" He said while sitting down onto one of the beds. Kiara took a seat opposite to him.
She raised her eyebrows and inspected him.
"Why did you come? I know it's not because you enjoyed my company that much."

Sean chuckled and shook his head. "I just wanted to check in. I know Casey can be bit of an arse."
Kiara chuckled at Sean's choice of words and nodded. "That's an understatement." She said.

Sean explained Kiara what they do around here when there's not a mission. He also told her about the other based of SCP since Casey only told her about POTW and Slab. And after a good conversation he stood up.

"Don't overthink too much mate. Just go with it. Time will go by faster if you try to enjoy it." Sean said and gave her a little reassuring smile.
Kiara nodded and opened the door for him. "I know. I will try but I can't promise you anything."
Sean nodded and waved at her before walking out the door.

She was glad he came to talk to her. He was really nice and she needed that. He was the first person she could have an actual conversation with, without getting her energy drained or getting some mean comments thrown her way.
It made her feel a bit better about her current situation.

After an hour or two, Crystal and Casey finally came back. The door opened and they walked in while loudly chatting about something.

"Hey Kiara! we're back and we brought you some food." Crystal put the paper bag and milkshake down on a desk while Kiara turned around. "Thanks." She said.

Crystal was still pretty energetic but Kiara noticed that it had turned down a notch. She was pretty glad about that.

"We also got you some clothes and products and stuff since we don't know how long you'll stay and you didn't really had the chance to grab anything.."

Kiara nodded and sat down at the desk. She was quite exhausted from everything that had happened, everything that had chanced.

"So uhm, what have you been up to while we were gone?"

Kiara could tell that Crystal was trying to make her feel better but it somehow made Kiara feel even worse. She started to realize that she'd be locked in this base for weeks maybe even months. She didn't ask for any of this. She just wanted to be with Cassandra. She wanted to lay beside her, grab her hand and tell her that everything would be fine.

But she couldn't.

"Why? Scared I've attempted to escape?" She mumbled.

Crystal frowned and turned around. She accepted Kiara's sarcastic remark and plopped down onto her bed.

While Crystal didn't like Kiara's sarcasm, Casey found it quite amusing and chuckled.

Kiara turned around and looked at Casey with a raised eyebrow.
"What's so funny karate demon? Secretly making fun of me in your thoughts again?"

Casey raised an eyebrow and folded her arms against her chest. "Karate demon? Really?"
Kiara shrugged. "Yeah, it's my new official nickname for you. It suits you doesn't it?"

Casey shook her head but a slight smile creeped on her face. Kiara noticed it and it made the annoyed feeling slowly disappear. She hadn't seen Casey smile before. She didn't expect her smile to be so nice and welcoming.

'Maybe she isn't so cold hearted as she pretends to be.'

"You should eat and go to bed. Tomorrow's going to be a long day." Casey said as she turned around.

Kiara nodded and took the food out of the paper bag. It was still warm.
She hadn't even realized how hungry she was until she focused her attention on the food.

'Tomorrow's going to be a long day huh?' She sighed before taking a slurp of her drink. It's gonna be soo much fun...
