Chapter 1

Stiles was going over his reasearch on Beacon Hills newest big bad. His magic had alerted him to a possible threat making their way into town about four weeks ago. And after much investigation and research he figured out that an alpha pack had moved into Beacon Hills. The buzzing of his phone wakes him from his thoughts. Picking up his phone he reads a text from Derek telling him to get to the loft for a pack meeting.

"How quaint, it's about time you see fit to brief me on the new threat." He mutters spitefully. While yes, he was a bit surprised he got an invitation to a pack meeting; considering the pack hadn't had any type of contact with him outside of research in over two months; he was more angry with the audacity of the pack to not alert him about the incoming alpha pack. While yes he had most likely known about the alpha pack before them considering anything hinky that steps through his wards would be alerted to him, he would have thought the pack would have let him know of the new threat since they don't know about his magic. If he didn't have magic and they never alerted him both him and his father could have possibly been in danger.

With the thoughts of the pack putting his father in danger, anger began boiling to the surface. He could feel his magic trying to break free and comfort him. Telling him to reach out to his father's bond and see that he was OK. He then took a few breaths, reigned in his magic and hurried off to his closet. He grabbed a pair of denim jeans and his signature red hoodie and then he was off. Down the stairs and out of the house. Leaving a note for his father, telling him he's at the pack meeting.

He continues to go over all his research during his drive, wanting to make sure he remembers all the information he acquired in the past weeks on the alpha pack. Occasionally swerving lanes to lost his own thoughts, however the ongoing slaughter of car horns beeping at him, brings him back to the present. He finally reaches the deserted parking lot, parks his Jeep, and begins the ascending steps to the loft.
