It's been 4 months since Katniss died . And 2 months since the capital fixed my memory and let me go . Since Katniss is dead , they said they no longer needed me . Oh and they sent me to district 13 . The rebellion has stopped . Once the Mockingjay was gone for good , they had nothing to stand for .
Gale has not spoken to anyone dice her death . He stays in his room all day . Effie has gotten her makeup back .... But refuses to wear it. It reminds her of Katniss . Prim can't bear to look at anyone . She can't bring comfort to herself .... But she can bring to her mother . Which by the way won't speak and only wears black . Haymitch is drunk all the time . And when he's not , he threatens to kill. And me ... Well I have it the worst . I can't eat , I can't sleep . The only thing on my mind is that night . The night I let her get away . I should have never let them take her . I should have told Johanna and Finnick no . I should have just gone along with her plan . Left in the middle of the night with her . Then we would be together . Safe in district 13 . Or maybe even in 12 .
These are all regrets that I have had before . Not one of these thoughts that I'm thinking haven't crossed my mind at leafs a million times . But I don't care . I could think these thoughts trillions of times .... And I will never be able to forgive myself .I was about to think of more things that I regret when a small blonde person burst through the doors .
"Peeta !!! She's alive !!! She woke up , Peeta she's alive !!! " Says out of breath Prim .
I can't think straight ... Am I dreaming ??? I'm running down the hall to where katniss's "dead" body was placed . But something catches my eye . A bunch of people crowding a hospital room . She must be in there !!!!! My heart is leaping through my flesh .
"Excuse me !! Please move !!" I say pushing through the crowd.
"Peeta!!!!!" I hear a small voice say .
Suddenly the whole world is frozen. Thankfully the crowd moved out of my way and I am able to see her for myself .
" Katniss your here . Your really here . Alive!!!" I say . I'm crying but it's ok because so is she .
She tries to get out of the bed ... But fails terribly and falls . I catch her in my arms and pull her into my chest . She is cold , small and frail ... Yet still beautiful.
" I thought I would never see you again ! " She weeps into my chest .
" Shhhhhsh , that's ok . it's ok I'm here now . And were together at last . Katniss I promise you , your ok and your going to recover . I will never leave your side !!" I say pulling her tighter in my chest . Her legs give out so I scoop her small body up in my arms and sky her on the hospital bed .
"Katniss I need to ask you something ," I say . Not sure if I'm going to be able to say it .
" anything ," she says
" Do you love me real or not real ?"
"Real"
