"No it's okay Thomas."Rekha waved him dismissively,already sensing too much teseterone and over protectiveness in the air."I already had my lunch."She looked around all the awaiting pets."Plus all these animals need me."

She wasn't surprised though when she noticed none of the two was even paying her face attention.They were literally killing each other with their eyes and it was just a matter of time before one gave into the fight.

"But I reserved a table for us in that luxurious hotel you like baby."Thomas finally turned to her,the look softening to that of adoration."Come on,your new volunteer here..."Both of them turned to Ralph who was just glaring at Thomas,those hooded grey eyes portraying a certain emotion she couldn't pinpoint.

A lash between fury and resentment.

"...Is obviously happy to be working here.Right?"The question was directed to Ralph who grabbed his jacket hanging on the coat rack."Did I say something wrong Alpha."

Too caught up in her own disbelief at Thomas's obvious immaturity,she hadn't caught up on the last word mentioned by the manager.

She just raced after a furious Ralph, ignoring Thomas's calls.She didn't understand why he really really hated the young adult,just from the first day they met on the road.Yes,he was wrong.Ralph had endangered their life and crossed right in front of them with his gothic motorcycle but still?

It was just some accident and the least Ralph was doing was act as a volunteer.She really needed such these time because most of the volunteers had resigned and Mrs Smith was currently undergoing physical and mental medical help.Until further notice.

"Ralph!"She ran after his feet that were furiously stomping on the ground and racing towards the infamous blue truck that had picked her the other day."Please wait Ralph."

He jumped on top of his motorcycle,revved it's engine and without looking at her pushed his helmet on.

Rekha wasn't sure who was more immature than the other.The one back in the clinic who had obviously chased someone with just a look from his eyes.Or,the one currently riding away in his motorcycle just because someone gave him 'those' eyes that break men's ego.

Sighing in defeat,she walked back into the clinic and met Thomas at the door.An apologetic look in his face.

"Baby I---"

"Don't Thomas."She walked past him and entered the clinic,not even sparing him a glance.And here she was thinking that he had outgrown that immature little boy."Don't baby me Thomas."

She knew he could hear him but didn't look back to confirm.Her feet hauled right before a recuperating bunny whose wound had been initially dressed but the owners brought it in earlier in the morning for it's joint to be redressed.

"I didn't do anything!"His voice rose a little bit,before he momentarily toned it lower."I just requested him to cover up for you as we go to take lunch."

"As normal human couples do really?"She turned to his side."Now he's no longer a human but some beast?Monster?Just because he almost killed us on the road?"She shook her head and focused back on the right front joint of the resting bunny."Thomas you are too much."

"Too much?"She heard his feet scrape the floor lightly and almost immediately,he was standing next to her."That guy obviously wants to get into your pants.Did you see how close he was to you?"

"He was helping me with the sick pig,that's what all volunteers do in this clinic."She untied the dressing on bunny's small leg joint and cleaned the distant pus visible.Doing away with it,she wrapped another clean cast around it and turned to Thomas who was abnormally silent."I like you Thomas.I really do.But just popping up in my work and interrupting everything isn't appealing to me."She gave the bunny an antibiotic injection,to prevent the wound from incurring any injection.Pulling the needle slowly out,she gave him a small smile."You don't have to be insecure about anything.You should have known by now I am not the easy go girl that spreads her leg like the gospel."
