A talking flower

(Y/n)'s pov

I sat in my bedroom,applying the finishing touches onto my makeup. It was a super simple look yet looked really good. Once I set the brush down I looked at my work and smiled proudly to myself. I cleaned up my makeup and put it into a bag and placed it in my backpack. I will be staying at my friends for the weekend. So I had to pack for it, my younger sibling frisk would be coming with me as there are best friends with my friends younger sibling. It was good through as I didn't like having them away from me too long. I've always been very protective to them. They are the only good thing in my life so I plan on keeping them safe. I hear something smash downstairs and yelling. I signed, mother and farther are drunk and fighting again. Perfect. Suddenly my door opened very quickly yet fast. I turned to see Frisk standing by the door with there little backpack and there cute witch custom on. It looked super cute on them, I adjusted their little sat and took their stand before heading out of my room. We had to be quite as to not alert our parents as they get...very angry when we are too loud. I used the back door and walked round so they couldn't see or hear us. Once we did I smiled at frisk and gave there tiny hand a light squeeze. "You okay there you little monster?" I asked and they gave a small nod and 'mmhn'

Frisk never talked much, at least not in public, I didn't mind and even took hand language classes with them so we could talk out on the open. I didn't mind, I'd do anything for my little pride and joy. I check the time on my phone and see the fire work display will be on in two hours, I had a good spot to watch the fireworks. It'll be on top of mt ebott. Then after we can go find our friends and go trick or treating. The walk wasn't too bad to the top of the Mountain. It had a nice and easy path. Once at the top I put a blanket on the floor for us to sit on. We sat down and waited for the fireworks. Soon the darkening sky was filled with beautiful explosions of bright colourful lights. I looked down at frisk who was staring at the fireworks in awe, I smiled and tuned my attention back to them. They even had a few creative and fun ones that made shapes and changed colour. It was truly a beautiful sight to see. I was just happy to see frisk smile in such a long time, they haven't had the best time at school or at home. I knew kids at school bullied them and no matter how much I tried I couldn't protect them forever as I have to work and don't go to school anymore. Mum and dad don't tell with yelling at them for being mute. It made me so angry when I think back to it, how can you do that to your child!? It was unforgivable.

Soon the firework display was over and frisk helped me clean off the blanket and put it back in my back, once done I took their hand. "Alright kiddo lets head to (B/f/n) to drop off our bags and then go trick or treating!" I said. They jumped up and down happily nodding there hand. We began to walk down the mountain once again, this time though not taking the path, sliding down the mountain was fun and we have done it a few times. I saw what looked like a deep hole up ahead to I tried to stop before we reached it, however frisk body slammed into me making us fall in. My eyes widen as frisk begins to scream in fear. I pulled them closer to my chest and held them close. Making sure I would take the full impact when we fell. "It's okay Frisk, I've got you" I said into their ear as they cried. Then everything went black.

Pain. That was the first thing I felt as I began to wake up, then I hear...crying? It sounds like...FRISK! my eyes shot open and I sat up, I see frisk on my lap crying, i hush them and pet them softly. I hear them gasp and look up at me before jumping into my arms and hugging me. "(Y-y/n) I thought you wasn't gonna wake up!" Frisk said as they cried. I gave them my motherly smile and used my thumb to wipe away their tears. Kissing the top of their head and we stood up. Frisk grabbed our bags and I put mine on, I looked around for my phone couldn't find it. I left it and took frisks hand and began to walk forwards. Soon after a while of walking in the dark I see the patch of light and see a golden flower it seemed to be...crying? It had a face. I pulled frisk behind me and slowly towards the flower. "Excuse me..?" The flower gasped and looked up at us. The petals were dirty and ripped. I could see the flower shaking. "D-don't come any closer! Stay back!" The flower yelled. "H-hey we don't wanna hurt you. We fell and wanna know how to get back to the surface" I said. I lowered to the flowers heights so he would feel less intimidated by us. "Surface? L-like humans ? But your monsters!" The flower said in disbelief "n-no theses are costumes! It's all fake we are humans!" I said. The flower took a closer look at us and sighed in relief as we saw we were telling the truth. I sat down on my knees with frisk beside me. We smiled at the flower and he smiled back. "I'm (y/n) and this is my younger sibling Frisk. What's your name?" I asked kindly, The flower seemed to have perked up. "I-I'm flowey! Flowey the flower!" He said pudding out his chest- umm stem out with pride. I heard giggles beside me and saw Frisk smiling. "So flowey, how do we get out of the underground?" I asked, however this time flowey looked uncomfortable and almost fearful. "This is be long so just listen...first the only way out is through the ruins however there are monsters and they are nothing like me, they will try and kill you both for your soul and DETERMINATION. The ruin is full of dangerous puzzles that you'll have to solve. Then...t-then you'll get to HER house. She's the caretaker of the ruins and she'll kill you if she sees you like she has with every human that's come down here. The only way out of the ruins is through her house and down into the basement. That's when you'll be in snowdin" the flower explained. "W-wow that's a lot...but I don't think we can remember that. So would you mind coming with us and helping us? In return we can protect you" i offered to the flower who seemed to be now beaming with delight. "I-I'd love to! Thank you so much!" He beamed "cool, why don't you take him Frisk and hide him under your sweater ?" I asked. They gave me a quick nod and went over to flowey who jumped onto their sleeve and crawled up to the neckline and went inside then hid under their hair making frisk giggle. It was probably ticklish. I got up and helped frisk up, holding their hand and heading forward. Into the dark and scary ruins. Solving each and every puzzle. No monsters have bothered with us or anything. Probably like slower thought we were monsters, that was good.

But I have this feeling...I feel like not all monsters are just gonna buy this. We will probably have to fool them into thinking we are powerful. I looked back and saw Flowey and Frisk talking. I pulled us away and kneeled down to whisper to them. "Hey Flowey do you have any powers ? If so if we need to enter a battle could you use them? And pretend to be apart of frisk so monsters think it's their power ?" I asked. He nodded "that's an amazing idea, but what about you?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "Hmm, I don't know...do all monster have or NEED magic?" I asked. "Well no but...those ones need to fight hard to survive. If you have powers no one wants to fight you...OH! I know! I have two magic abilities. Ones my white petals, they are like bullets and the other one is my vines. Frisk can have my vines and it matches their hate and you can have my Bullets. I can hover them around you to make them look like yours" I smiled and gave flowey a pat on the head and Frisk a kiss on the head. We then continued our puzzle solving before we got to a house...it looked super creepy and I could feel frisk shaking. That's when we hear it behind us...

"Children..?"
