7.) True Identities

I dropped my fork as soon as I heard the sound. Everyone at the dinner table looked in the direction of which the sound came from. Standing there was none other than Dark Link. Ben scowled and continued eating his pizza. Dark Link scanned the table and when his eyes found mine, he smiled. I looked down, trying not to look at him. I knew Dark wanted to be more than friends, I could just sense it in the way he spoke. But I just couldn't...
  "Hello gorgeous~" Dark said, as he came toward me.
  Dark set a finger under my chin and played with my hair. I grabbed Dark's wrist and twisted it back. Using my other hand, I slapped him into the wall. Then I picked up my pizza and kept eating. Everyone started laughing quietly and Dark sighed.
  "Alright children, that is quite enough." Slender said.
  We all quieted down and Dark stood up, grunting. We all finished eating; Dark taking a few biscuits of the table here and there. Everyone left, including Ben and I. Dark of course, followed.
  Ben, Dark, and I were playing Super Smash Bro's on the Nintendo 64. Ben beat us every time of course, but went especially hard on Dark. He'd glitch the game sometimes so that Dark couldn't counterattack. After about an hour, Dark broke the silence.
  "Well then, shall we go outside and take a break?" He said, his attitude and tone a bit off.
  "Uh, I guess so." I said, looking at Ben for approval.
  "Ugh.. Fine." Ben said, wanting desperately to continue.
  We went outside in the fresh forest air. It was so beautiful outside.
  "What do you guys wanna do?" Ben asked.
  That moment, I noticed a tall oak tree off in the distance and ran to it.
  "Hey (Y/N)! Where are you going?" Ben yelled.
  I ignored him and kept running toward it. When I reached the roots of the humongous tree, I gripped a branch and began climbing. I sat on the tree for a few moments, looking at the sun. Ben came up behind me and sat next to me.
  "It's really breath-taking isn't it?" He said, gazing at the sun.
  "Y-Yeah.." I said.
  "I-It's just like you." He said, turned to look at me.
  I looked at Ben and my face turned pink. He grabbed my hand and held it in front of him.
  "I promise I won't ever leave you again..." He whispered.
  "Do you really promise?" I said, smiling.
  "I promise.." He said, brushing the side of my face, gently.
  We both looked at each other, small smiles painted on our faces.
  I wrapped my arms around him, and he hugged me back. When we let go of each other, Ben held my chin and lightly kissed my cheek. I turned a bright pink and hugged him again, a wide smile on my face. Ben saw me smiling, and started lightly laughing.
  "What's so funny?" I said, letting go.
  "It's just that you're so pretty when you smile~" He said, kindly.
  I laughed too, and for the rest of the day we sat on that little tree branch and laughed until our sides hurt. And then, a familiar sound filled our ears; the sound of a loud crack.

  '(Y/N) and BEN have been gone a long time...', I thought. I figured BEN went to go get (Y/N) back, but it's already been an hour. I decided to walk toward the area in which they ran off to. I finally reached the area, and I heard faint laughing. I ran toward it, and found BEN and (Y/N) in a tree, laughing. He was stroking her face and complimenting everything about her.
  "Damn it, I'll try again tomorrow." I mumbled to myself.
  And then, I teleported home with a loud, crack.

  "What the hell was that?" I said, interrupting.
  "Sounded like.. Dark." Ben said, stressing the word, 'Dark'.
  We turned to the noise and saw nobody. We both panicked, thinking it could've been the branch breaking. We scrambled down and let out a sigh of relief. Ben gestured his hand toward me, and I grabbed it as we ran back to the Mansion.
  At the Mansion, everyone was sitting in the living room talking and laughing as usual.
  "Hey, it's about time you two lovebirds got home!" Jeff yelled from the living room. Ben and I immediately let go of each others hands and but them behind our backs.
  "We're watching some cheesy 'scary' movie." Jeff said. Ben and I walked into the living room and Jeff turned on the movie. I didn't know what movie it was but it was hella' scary to me.
  The entire time, Ben and I were holding hands and watching, intensely. I jumped at all the jumpscares and when I did, Toby laughed.
  "Aye, Toby! If you don't shut it, I ain't making you waffles anymore!" I yelled toward Toby. Toby immediately shut his trap and turned to watch the movie.

  "No cheating, Ben!"
  "Aw, come on, (Y/N)!"
  "Nope!"
  "Fine..."
  Ben and I were playing SSBB on the XBox.
  Everything was going fine, until the game crashed and the familiar black hole appeared on the screen. Ben shook his head in anger.
  "That little dipshit is getting on my nerves." Ben mumbled.
  I laughed faintly and waited for the loud crack to fill my ears. And when it did, Dark Link stood in front of the T.V.
  "Hello friends!" He said, enthusiastically.
  "What in hell do you want?" Ben said.
  "Just wanted to see if you guys wanted to play a game with me!" He cheered.
  Ben rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
  "What game?" He asked, annoyed.
  "Oh just, 'Legend of Zelda'~" Dark cooed.
  "No." Ben said, bluntly.
  "Oh come on, pleaseee?" Dark asked.
  "...Fine..." Ben said, hesitantly.
  "Okaycomeonletsgo!" Dark said quickly before grabbing my hand and Ben's and escaping into the T.V.
  ---
  We appeared in an obvious Hyrule village. The ground was covered in grass and dirt, and many cottages and trading posts were visible in the distance. As I looked at the setting in awe, I heard Ben shout my name.
  "(Y/N)!"
  I felt a cold and tingly feeling in my back. I turned around and noticed that some creature that resembled a bat had cut open my back. The wound though, immediately healed in a mist of pixels.
  "What the hell?" I said.
  "That was a Keese." Dark said, straightforward. 
  "Why wasn't I cut?" I said, shocked.
  "Things foreign to the code of the game are immune from attacks." Dark explained.
  "Oh, I didn't know that.." I said.
  Ben let out a sigh of relief. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at Dark.
  "Well what did you drag us here for? A staring contest?" Ben asked.
  "No, lets look around."
  We walked around for a while looking at all the different buildings and people. It was pretty boring because none of us spoke a word the entire time.
  "Well, (Y/N) I think we should go home." Ben said, breaking the silence.
  "NO!" Dark yelled. We both looked at him.
  "I-I mean, of course! Whatever floats your boat.."
  "Okay?" Ben said, confused.
  "Ready, (Y/N)?" Ben asked, taking my hand.
  I nodded, and Ben and I faded away back to the Mansion.
  When we appeared back in Ben's room, it was already nightfall. Ben and I said our goodnights and went to bed. Slender had given me my room that morning. I had already decorated it with pastel colors and some video game figures I brought from home. As I lay in bed, I thought about home and my mother and all the things that had happened to me lately. I eventually drifted off into a deep sleep.

  I woke up like I do every morning, but this time, it was dark. The bed I was sleeping on didn't feel right, and I didn't see the glow of Ben's alarm clock. Instead, where the door would usually be, I saw two red irises looking in my direction.
  "Oh, good morning (Y/N). Nice to meet you." the thing said.
  As it revealed itself, I noticed something familiar about him.
  "Dark?" I said, shocked. The creature didn't sound like Dark, but he was an exact 'replica' of him.
  "What the hell is going on? Where's Ben?" I asked, afraid.
  "Dear, I'm afraid he won't be seeing you for a while."
  "Dark, I wanna go home to Ben!" I screamed.
  "Shh.. I've heard a lot about you. Your potential. You're someone I could use, (Y/N)." 
  I began to speak, but 'Dark' held a finger to my lips to shush me.
  "And please correct yourself," he said, annoyed. "My name isn't 'Dark'. It's Zalgo."
