Escape the castle

Third Person P.O.V

A pair of blondes walked along the halls of the castle, the sound of their heels echoed the barren walls with each step. "Those girls, they seemed off." Lady Bish spoke. A beautiful icy woman who married her way into the royal family for power. 

"I agree. I have sense Asch has returned but the shorter one has his scent all over her." Thoth replied. A twin sister to Lady Bish, an added extra by the author for reasons she can't remember. Supposedly to share the power her sister received from the royal family. "Where is your spirit by the way?"

"I believe Zex is returning with Asch as we speak."

Thoth raised her eyebrow, amused. "Oh?"

"Lady Bish."

Hours have passed in Ava and Thyme's given chambers. The girls were sparring with each other to pass the time, and to also teach Ava self-defence. With her height, it can either be an advantage or disadvantage- most likely an advantage if only the woman is fast enough.

"I'm sure you know that Blaze is from Jessicas' series, right?" Ava asks, punching Thyme.

"Oh yeah," Thyme replied, blocking the attack and then pulling Ava's fist to her right, "He's cute but since he died he ended up in 'hell'." Thyme swings her leg under Ava making her land on her butt

Ava grunts. "Yep. One hell of handsome devils." Thyme pulls Ava up when suddenly the latter dragged her to the floor and flipped Thyme over.

"You're doing better."

"Thanks." 

The girls got up as soon as they heard a knock on the door. It flew open and came out Blaze. "Lady Grandma requests your presence." He said formally. The girls followed in suit, they went the halls then further down to Lady Grandma's lair before going further to the cells.

"This is as far as I'll go." Blaze stopped in the middle of intersecting tunnels. "Take this tunnel, and before the end of that you turn right, it will lead you under the bridge then cross over it. The guards will have an hour of break time and until then no one will be guarding the gates, so you better run fast."

"Thank you, Blaze." Said Ava. 

"Anytime girls." Blaze smiles under his helmet. "Remember that I'm on your side, so if you see amongst the crowd I have to pretend I'm not."

The girls nodded in return, and with a final glance, they run towards the left tunnel. There are no prisoners in the halls beside the one at the end of the tunnel, a giant cell held a single lone prisoner.

"Who goes there!?!" Shouted a voice that echoed the halls. The girls abruptly halted, with Thyme at the front they silently turned right to not upset the prisoner.

They finally got out of the tunnel and under the mist of the void, the castle stood on one island while the town across it floated with the bridge to get from one place to the other. Perhaps in the distance, it would look like one giant floating island connecting with giant bulky chains. The girls carefully climb up the violet soil and hid behind every bush unnoticed, until they reached a pillar underneath and nearest to the bridge only to see the soldiers stand guard. 

"Shit I thought it was their break." Thyme cursed trying to find a way out. Meanwhile, Ava is on the lookout in case anyone has spotted them. A black entity swiftly moves from one bush to another, making a rustling sound. The guards above would mistake that sound of the wind, but Ava tapped Thyme, alerting the woman who took in a fighting stance and moves Ava behind her. The entity moves closer to Thyme, circling around her feet and making her stumble to the ground. "Gahh!" As soon as Thyme fell, the guards above are alerted making their way to the sides of the bridge. Thyme slapped her mouth, cursing herself for that exclamation she did, and for the entity that knocked her over. She looked at the entity in front of her, it revealed itself to be a black cat with an X shape scar on its left eye. Something about this strange cat seemed familiar to Thyme, quite ominous, especially those green eyes.
