Cubby's POV

I woke up this morning, feeling better. My throat is not hurting me anymore. I coughed out the scabs, a few days ago. It was disgusting but Jake and Izzy were there for me as Izzy was holding a bowl for me to cough in. It was more like gagging. I ran into the kitchen, where Jake and Izzy were having their breakfast.

"Hey Cubby, you're looking better." Izzy exclaimed as they saw me running into the kitchen.

"And you've got your energy back." Jake exclaimed.

"Yep. I'm feeling better than ever. Can I have cereal for my breakfast?" I asked them.

"I'm not sure Cubby..." Jake began.

"Cmon Jake, I'm totally better." I exclaimed as I was trying to convince him as he went into his protective/big brother mode.

"I got to agree with Cubby. It has been a week since he had his tonsils taken out and the doctor did say he only had to eat soft food for a week." Izzy exclaimed.

"Please Jake. I'm fine. My throat no longer hurts." I exclaimed.

"Erm...okay, I'll make you cereal for breakfast." Jake exclaimed as he was finished with his breakfast and he got up from his chair, to make me a bowl of cereal. He made it.

"Cubby, are you sure that you will be able to eat solids again?" He asked me as he passed me, my bowl of cereal.

"I'm sure I can." I said as I began to slowly eat my cereal.

"Jake, he'll be fine. I mean as long as he eats his cereal, slowly, and any other solids that he's going to have then he's going to be alright and besides, his surgery was a week ago."  Izzy exclaimed, as she was done with her breakfast.

"Okay but Cubby, make sure you're eating it slowly." Jake exclaimed.

"I will Jake. There's no need to worry." I exclaimed as I continued to eat.

"I mean, are you feeling any pain at the moment?" Jake asked me.

"I'm not feeling any pain Jake." I exclaimed.

"Good. What do you want to do after breakfast?" Jake asked us.

"We can go and play in Neverland." I suggested.

"Or we can go on a walk around Neverland." Izzy also suggested.

"Yeah, I think that will be better." I exclaimed.

"Yeah, a relaxing walk. Let's go...wait Cubby, you need to get changed first." Jake exclaimed as I looked at my PJs.

"Oh yeah. I'll get change now." I exclaimed as I went to get changed.

Izzy's POV

Cubby got changed and we were heading to Neverland.

"Are you feeling alright?" I asked Cubby.

"I'm feeling great. It feels so great to get some fresh air." Cubby exclaimed.

"That's great. I'm glad you're feeling completely better. Also, I'm so proud of you for being brave your surgery last week." I exclaimed as I hugged him.

"Thanks Izzy." Cubby thanked me as he hugged me back.

"Anytime." I said.

We started to go for a walk around Neverland.

"How's your throat feeling Cubby?" Jake asked Cubby.

"My throat is feeling good, better than ever. I'm glad my surgery went well." Cubby exclaimed.

"We're glad your surgery was a success as well." I exclaimed.

"I'm glad my surgery was a success. I'm hoping I won't have surgery again." Cubby exclaimed.

"We promise you won't." Jake exclaimed.

"I know I was brave when I went into the operating room but I was really scared guys." Cubby exclaimed as he was fiddling with his fingers.

"But we know you were brave in your heart." Jake exclaimed.

"Yeah, I was being brave for you guys...and myself." Cubby exclaimed.

"Aww Cubby." I said, as I hugged him.

"Are you scared of surgery now? After you experienced it." Jake asked him.

"A little bit but not as much. I mean the experience was scary for me but I don't think I would be as scared as I was last time, if I needed to have another surgery. I definitely wouldn't refuse." Cubby explained.

"Unlike somebody I know." Jake exclaimed until my eyes widened as I knew he was referring to me.

"Hey!" I exclaimed.

"It's true Izz. You're really scared of the hospital, after your last surgery." Jake exclaimed as he was right. I am scared of hospitals and surgery.

"You're right. I'll never get over my last surgery. It was the most scariest moment of my life." I exclaimed as I remember waking up in the recovery room.

"But we all know you're brave. I mean you helped me get over my fear of having surgery." Cubby exclaimed.

"Yeah but I'm still scared of them." I exclaimed.

"We understand Izzy, don't worry." Jake exclaimed.

"What about you Cubby?" I asked Cubby.

"What about me?" Cubby asked me.

"What was your experience like while being in the hospital?" I asked him.

"It was scary as I didn't even want to step my foot into the hospital entrance. I had an hospital bracelet on, which was tight around my wrist. When I was being strolled into the operating room, now that was nerve whacking. I was so scared while lying in my hospital bed then when I saw the tools and those surgical masks I saw on the nurses and doctors, I was terrified then I was put to sleep. I woke up to you guys in the recovery room. That was strange because I can barely remember anything that happened in the recovery room. Then I was happy that I could go home." Cubby explained about his experience.

"Even though, you were scared of the operating room. To us, you were really brave, when they take you to surgery." Jake exclaim while Cubby smiled.

"Aww thanks Jake. I guess I was brave deep down inside me." Cubby exclaimed.

"You really were." I said. "You were more braver than me." I exclaimed.

"No, you were more braver than me." Cubby exclaimed.

"No you were more braver than me. I was terrified, when I had my first surgery." I exclaimed.

"Me too. I was scared that I was going to wake up." Cubby exclaimed.

"Let's say that you both were equally brave as each other." Jake exclaimed. "And we're really proud of you Cubby." Jake exclaimed, as we hugged Cubby as he smiled and hugged us back.

"Thanks guys." Cubby said as he hugged us more.
