Reader's P.O.V.
"So how's work been treating you?" Leon ask as I walk beside him. I smile at him and think about it. It's been good working for Aqua. Spending time with Aerith on days off. She's been having me work around her house for her. Repairing her backdoor, fixing the fencing to her garden, and painting both for her.
"Pretty good, it's been a good month. Both work and Aer keep me busy." I say and he hums nodding.
"That sounds good to me. Did you get your paycheck yet?" My smile grows and I reach into my pocket. Pulling out a leather bound f/c wallet. Popping it open to pull out the check. Leon leans a bit closer and smiles when he sees it. Letting out a low whistle when he sees it.
"Three thousand six hundred huh? That's above average for that kind of job. Aqua really is treating you well; Helps you don't pay rent." I nod and put the check away. Closing the wallet and pocketing it.
"For now at least, I don't mind living with Aer, but I don't wanna leech off her forever ya know." I tease and he nods in understanding.
"Makes sense, if your handling it well you could probably juggle another small side gig." Leon gives some recomandations as we enter the bar. He pays for my Irish cream and his usual. We settle down to wait for Cloud. Who has yet to arrive apparently.
"It's a good amount of money. Especially if I just save all of it; Which I'm absolutely in a position to do." I say not sure why Leon's making a recomandation for a side gig. He shrugs and sips his own drink.
"Yeah, but when I say take a side gig I don't mean for the money." He tries and fumbles to explain. I raise a brow at him in slow understanding.
"Leon, are you saying I need a hobby?" He fails to look me in the face. Instead looking around the bar. His cheeks flaring pink for a moment. I chuckle at him and shake my head.
"You can just say it you know." I explain and he shrugs.
"You know most woman would slap me for commenting on how they live their lives." He mutters and I raise a brow at him.
"Leon, how many time have you been slapped before?" He goes silent and stares at his lap. I sip my drink and resist laughing. Turning my head when I hear laughter. It's Cloud whose walking beside those two I met here at the bar on my first day. It takes a moment for me to remember them. They're Saix and Axel I believe.

"Hey Cloud, we were staring to think you wouldn't show up." Leon pipes up and the blonde smiles. Walking over to us with a nod.
"Sorry, my boss was keeping me." He explains and we both nod in response. He settles down with us.
"Been awhile since I've talked to you." Cloud says to me and I nod.
"Long time no see Cloud." I say and he chuckles.
"Hey Cloud," he hums, "What was up before now?" I nod to the color coded pair.
"Ah, That's part of why I was late. My boss has an associate whose throwing a party. I've been charged with helping organize it." He explains and nods to the red head. Whose messing with some instrument.
