Chapter 2.

"Last three shots, Elise! Work it!"

Itinaas ko ang mga kamay ko at ipinuwesto when I heard what the photographer said as he clapped his hands. I posed for the last three shots, and when the photographer, Ace, shouted that the shoot is over, agad ako'ng sinalubong ng assistant ko na si Sofia.

"Pakibilisan na lang, ha? I still have an appointment in one hour, right?" Inalalayan nya ako umupo sa high chair kaharap ng salamin.

Sofia is quick and effecient. Hindi ko naman sana hiniling na magka assistant but Kuya Drake and Daddy insisted. Hindi na rin ako nagreklamo dahil naging sunod sunod na ang activity ko.

When a modelling offer came, pumayag ako knowing na part of the magazine's proceeds will go to the foundation with the condition na about sa trabaho, company at foundation lang ang coverage ng interview.

Aside sa pagiging coordinator, ako na rin ang ambassador ng foundation namin. One month ko ng kasama si Sofia sa mga lakad at alam ko na kilala nya na ako when it comes to my routines at work.

"Maam, tumawag po sa akin si Mr. Lavigne. Sya na raw po ang bahala sa lahat, magpahinga na lang daw po kayo." She started removing my make up.

Marahan ko'ng tinabig ang kamay nya. "What? How did he knew?" Kunot noo na tanong ko.

I woke up late, idinahilan ko na masama pakiramdam ko. It was true, but it's not because I am gonna be sick, but because of a hangover from secretly drinking alone too much last night.

"Sinabi ho yata ni Sir Drake." Kibit balikat na sabi ni Sofia.

Uminom ako ng gamot bago umalis kanina dahil ayoko magkalat sa photoshoot. Kumikirot pa rin ang ulo ko but not as worse as the pain a while ago. Tolerable na ngayon at kaya ko na tiisin.

Hinayaan ko na si Sofia na tanggalin ang heavy make up ko. We were about to flee the scene when Ace came to me and asked to take me to lunch. I am not dumb para hindi maramdaman that he's hitting on me, but I softly declined his invitation.

He's new in town. Sa pagkaka alam ko, three weeks pa lang sya dito. He came from Australia. He's pure pinoy but he was based on Australia and he was just requested for the shoot. So he doesn't have any idea about me, except, probably, that I am an heiress.

"I still have a schedule in thirty minutes, Ace. Maybe next time." Pinilit ko'ng ngumiti.

Nagkamot sya ng ulo. "Alright. You're so busy, I guess I just have to find my lucky time then."

Tumango lang ako. "See you." Mahinang sabi ko.

Nagmamadali kaming sumakay ni Sofia sa kotse. Pinagbigyan ko na din sila Daddy na magka driver na ako. I know, nag aalala lang sila sa akin and I understand them too. Pero minsan, I still give in to driving on my own. Kahit gaano ako nasaktan, as much as possible ay hindi ko pinapakita sa kanila.

I hate the pity looks that peoole from the office and in the foundation give to me. But I still held my head up high. Wade's gonna come back, and when he do, gusto ko na nanatili na nakataas ang ulo ko kahit kanino.

Talks started that Wade actually planned to flee. But that's just bullshit. I will never dwell on that idea. Walang kidnappers na tumawag para sa ransom. Walang kahit ano. So they assumed the worse and all of them can go to hell, but Wade can never do that to me.

I cry myself at night because I miss him so damn much. But life must go on. Hindi ako naging si Elise Adriano para maging mahina. I can wait for Wade's come back and nothing will change.

Ayoko masaktan sa walang kalatoy latoy na dahilan. The police are doing all they can to find Wade. And I will wait because he will be back. He'll be back for me.
