I looked at Chris with a confused expression still trying to process the words he said earlier.

"So... you're telling me that Nick asked Sam to take him back and she rejected him?"

"Yeah. Pretty much." he shrugged.

"Go bestie!" I cheered.

"Yeah...but Nicolas is super torn up about it. It feels like there's more to the story but i'm actually hanging out with him later so i'll find out then."

"Then you'll inform me?" I asked sweetly while batting my eyelashes. He smirked in response.

"Sorry babelicious. I can't tell you anything that Nicolas and I talk about unless I feel like it will endanger his life." I just rolled my eyes.

"Fine whatever. I'll just talk with him later." I said just as the last bell rang. Chris and I walked out of class together. Since he picked me up this morning I asked Sam if we could hang out today and she'll drop me home later. I spotted Sam next to her black swift. She claimed that the black gave it a "Sleek and clean look". I didn't argue against the statement since she was half awake at the time.

"Hey girly" Sam cheered. She's been a literal ray of sunshine lately. I think the situation with Nick has been weighing her down so long that the talk with Nick somehow set her free. I was really happy for her so I couldn't  help myself from hugging her.

"How did you find out?"

"Why do I need a reason to hug my bestfriend?" I asked. She narrowed her eyes.

"Okay! Fine Chris told me and I'm super happy for you but I want you to ask you what happened because NIck in super depressed."

She sighed and told me to get in the in the car.  We drove to Starbucks got some drinks and headed to the local park and sat on a random bench. We sat in silence for about 15 minutes until she finally spoke.

"I always wondered why I wasn't enough? I mean we were crushing on each other for our whole lives and when he actually confessed to me that year I was so happy." tears were beginning to build up in her eyes.

"Sam-" she held her hand to stop me.

"When we come to High School I was a bit insecure about all the other girls. I mean who wouldn't be we have some beautiful girls in our school. He told me that I was the only one that mattered. He even told me he was insecure about guys that would try to pursue me. Sure a few guys asked me but nearly not as much as girls that were interested in him. Rachel was your typical pretty girl, always trying to flirt with Nicolas and get on his good side but he never cared. I still remember all the envious looks I would get from girls. Then sophomore year came and i started getting some very descriptive threats. I told Nicolas and he urged me to go to the Principal and we did. They didn't find out who it was but somehow news got out and girls started to talk about how I was doing it for attention." by this point tears were falling down her cheeks. I remember how sad she was then but she never told Paige and I what the letters were about.

"Nicolas was so supportive, he would walk me to all my classes and to and from school. It made me feel so important and loved. I saw Rachel started to bug him more and even though he said it didn't matter I still couldn't help but let my insecurities get to me. I mean she was beautiful how couldn't I be jealous. Nicolas invited me to one of his friend's parties and I was reluctant but then eventually gave in. The party was really fun and we danced I drank a bit. Then I realized he wasn't with me anymore so I started to look for him but I still couldn't find him. I went outside and saw him kissing Rachel." she sobbed. By this time we were in the car still in the school's parking lot. I looked at my bestfriend and saw the hurt in her eyes. I swear on Batman's dry humor I will hurt Nicolas! Sadly, this is not the time for that.

"I think this calls for a girl's day?" I said caressing her back. she simply nodded her head and we drove to her house whilst I called Paige to buy junk food.

"This is going to be a long night" I  sighed.
