Chapter Five: Physical Education

You entered the gym after a little bit of searching (and finishing your candy bar) and this time, you were not surprised at how huge it was. You had to remind yourself that you're in the best high school in Konoha and the large tuition money is used wisely. You looked around at the students there but could not find someone you knew. That was not an issue for you. You walked into the girl's locker room to change into your uniform and you tied your hair back into a ponytail. You frowned when you saw yourself in the mirror. Your uniform consisted of a white shirt and red shorts that you struggled to tug down. You didn't know who designed these but you definitely wanted it to be longer. You wished for the colder seasons to come soon to wear your fall/winter uniform which would most likely consist of sweat pants.

You heard a whistle outside and hurried out along with other females. You've noted that many of the students had green shorts and you remembered that green was the color for second years. The whistle was blown again and a man with a unique hairstyle and clothing was in the front. His hair was shaped into a bowl and he had green overalls (you refuse to mention the eyebrows). "Hello everyone! I see some familiar faces from my second years but first years! I am Might Guy but call me Guy-sensei! I will be your physical ed and health teacher and I want everyone to enjoy their youth!"

You heard many of the second years around you groan and a voice was recognizable from the crowd. "Yes, Guy-sensei!" A boy shouted and you caught a glimpse of his appearance. He looked like a smaller version of Guy.

"Aha, Lee. I like that energy! Now I'm fired up! Come on, let's go run around in the field outside!" Guy laughed and everyone followed him outside. You saw the field from your homeroom class and it looked much bigger when you stood on it. Guy turned back toward the students and grinned, "I would like all of you to run around as a warm-up! Because it's the first day, I'm going to go easy on you! I'll give you guys five laps!"

"Five?!" Many second years cried. You were a little frightened as well. Running one lap seemed enough.

"Yes, five! Now get to it! If I see someone slacking, you're getting a penalty! Ten push-ups! Now, what are we waiting for? This is a part of enjoying youth!" Guy blew his whistle again and the second years were off. The first years shortly followed in confusion and fear.

You made sure to pace yourself. It was a warm-up which insisted that you would be doing another activity after. You wanted to preserve your energy and sweat as little as possible. You were thankful you didn't eat anything much or else you would catch a stomach ache. Just as you finished your first lap, you noticed the same boy who resembled Guy already on his third. He was really quick and you began to feel motivated to finish. You continued running at a moderate pace and noticed a presence beside you. You looked over and saw the same boy as before, "Hello."

The male flashed you a thumbs up, "Hello there! My name is Rock Lee! Please be my girlfriend! I vow to protect you with my life!"

"Huh?!" His words took you by surprise and you stumbled on your step. You felt arms around you and your fall was easily stopped. He was quick to react. "Thank you," You stood properly and Lee moved away while jogging in place. His expression looked worried and you were going to speak until a whistle rang.

"[Last Name]! Move away from the field and give me ten push-ups!" Guy shouted.
