𝗩𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗟𝗬, the female pulled her hand back from the man's grasp. "W-What can I help you with Morisuke-san?" the girl asked stuttering with her words, all the while avoiding his gaze. She had trouble trying to calm herself down. Hanabi found herself too riled up from what happened. However, she shouldn't jump on conclusions that fast.

Maybe what happened was just a coincidence. Maybe the voices inside her head just decided to stop at that moment, but Hanabi knew inside her that she was just lying to herself. Because when she let go of that person's hands, the loud voices erupted inside her mind, wanting her help and wanting to take control of her body.

Yaku suddenly remembered the main reason he visited her this late at night. "Um I wanted to ask" he stopped, hesitating, thinking that this topic would be too sensitive for the female now hiding behind her barely closed doors. "I heard shatters of glass on the walls, I was wondering if you were alright, Koizumi-san" Yaku asked as nicely as he could. He didn't want to scare her away.

The more he looked at her scared and terrified figure, the more he felt the urge to take her into his arms and lull her to a peaceful sleep. The fondness he felt earlier never disappeared along with the sensation of her small rough hands in his.

"I..." Hanabi trailed, eyes widening in fear that this guy would discover her secret and run away as everybody else does. "...I don't know what you're talking about Morisuke-san. It's getting late, I have to go" the female whispered. She hid her trembling palms behind her back and slammed the door shut.

Yaku could only shut his eyes hearing the loud slam of the door, he stared at the brown door in front of him as he thought back of how her touch felt so overly familiar. Was she someone he knew back then? For that, he had no answer. The male dragged himself dejectedly and walked down the stairs back to his room.

Hanabi bit her lip as she slid down the door on her back, hands gripping on her hair trying to stay quiet until Yaku leaves. But it wasn't easy. As soon as she heard his footsteps descending down the stairs, she let out a small whimper as she rolled on the floor continuously. Desperately trying to get through the night without making a single sound.

Koizumi Hanabi had been like this ever since she turned 12. It all started when her mother told her of their bloodline. Their family came from an ancient Japanese clan filled with exorcists and spirit mediums. They were destined to keep the family tradition and help spirits in need. But little Hanabi wanted no part in that.

It terrified her when she started hearing sudden whispers in her room, calling her name, asking for help, and for some reason, it slowly started became unbearably loud. It took all of her strength not to go mad, and it didn't help when the voices started materializing physical form when she turned 14. The girl ran away from her family and her duties, leaving her older brother, Hyuuga, to shoulder the family traditions.

"Help me Hanabi-chan" speak of the devil, a spirit of an old man emerged from the ceiling directly above her. Half of his face and body burnt and rotting.

Hanabi's eyes widened, quickly getting up and threw a small bottle of purified water towards the spirit. "...leave me alone..." she whimpered, cowering under her arms. The bottle hit the ceiling, breaking into little shards from the impact, its contents showering down the old man vaporizing him.

The female sighed, a hand on her head, she grabbed the broom and swept away the shards of glass scattered on the floor. Getting pricked three times on the foot, but she didn't mind it, it wasn't the first time for her. It would be a miracle if she didn't have any fresh wounds as a day passes.

Her back hit the soft bed, wanting to sleep but sadly, today is still going to be a sleepless night for her.

In the back of her mind, she thought of her neighbor and gazed at her hand. Why is his touch so soothing? Amidst the chaos in her mind, Hanabi found it in herself to sleep around 6 am in the morning. A question replaying inside her head.
