Mardos P.O.V.       Location: Castle of Hell - Throne Room.

I had dragged Nora into the tunnel with me. How and why, I'll never know, but I couldn't care less. I begin to walk back to my stronghold. Nora attempts to follow me.

(Nora) - Mardos, Wait!

(???) - Ggggrrrroooooaaaahhhh...

She's stopped by a Chrome Giant, which slams her with its mace

She's stopped by a Chrome Giant, which slams her with its mace. Nora can't counter in time, and is pushed through the gate.

...Yeah, that was almost a week ago. She came back with her friends. She thinks she's gonna make it all the way up here? Not happening. I rigged every room with tricks and puzzles for a reason: I wanted to be left the fuck alone.

They entered three days ago. More than a thousand rooms in my threshold, and they're still trying to figure it all out. Intriguing. I merely returned to Remnant for Wiggles. I had no intent of finding that my sister had become so persistent. She used to get bored so easily.

I should know, I learned from experience.

(Enna Kros) - They still trying?

I turn to look at her from my position on the balcony with a scowl.

(Mardos) - I'd ask how you know that, then I remember you're fucking omniscient.

(Enna Kros) - I don't understand why you're so angry. Your long-lost sister come to visit you, you should be overjoyed!

(Mardos) - I know you're immortal, and all that crap, but did you really forget everything that involved our deal, two-hundred and sixty-odd years ago?

(Enna Kros) - No. I'm messing with you.

(Mardos) - Why did you pick me?

(Enna Kros) - Why, Marty, I haven't the slightest idea what you mean.

(Mardos) - Cut the shit, Roksanne. You have contact with three mirage keepers: Lann, Reynn, and me. They're going through Grymoire, doing what they can to protect the people there, and fulfill demands. They're doing what they want with their lives, and I'm trying to do what I want with mine. Why can't you be a hassle to them for once?

She looks at me shocked for a few moments before answering.

(Enna Kros) - Because their world is safe, and they're putting their lives back together, after everything that happened in their century of sleep. They're working. You aren't. So I figured I'd put you through the wringer a bit, Get your blood pumping.

(Mardos) - So you paraded into my threshold - my own personal world, unannounced, robbed me of one of my best Mirages, and handed him over to the two people I trust the LEAST to do their own jobs.

(Enna Kros) - Now what makes you think I did that?

(Mardos) - Nobody can use a gate without having been brought through one before, and the Mirage Keepers haven't had contact with Remnant, or what it was before for EONS. Which means either you gave Ozpin and Ironwood MY mirage, or the Exnine Knights finally found me, and decided to make themselves known, which is unlikely, as the others would have sensed it.

(Enna Kros) - Ah, right. The soul gems of the others you have subjugated. You two are quite the duo.

I can feel him calling out.

Go ahead. I'm tired, anyways, Arthur.

Armor forms around my body, encasing it. The mind of the knight stored in the soul gem in the brace on my left arm, under my jacket, allows me to fall back. I'm still aware of everything happening.

King Arthur's just in control for the time being.

(A/N: Ignore the sword)

(King Arthur) - Do not change the topic, Roksanne. The fact remains that we would have sensed another Exnine Knight among our ranks that wasn't loyal to us. You took his mirage, and that is the fact. You have no ground to stand on.

(Enna Kros) - Guilty as charged. What are you going to do about it?

(King Arthur) - ...We will do nothing. No matter what we do, it won't matter. You are immortal. You cannot die. Therefore, there is no point to us doing anything about you. You will answer none of our questions anyway.

(Enna Kros) - I can answer questions.

(King Arthur) - Without verse or riddles? Can you give us straight answers instead of mindless soliloquies?

(Enna Kros) - Well, it's no fun if I just give you the answer.

(King Arthur) - If you're not going to help, then feel free to leave. There's no point in you being here if you're not going to help.

(Enna Kros) - Fine, fine, I'll go. But, before I do, a word about his sister?

(King Arthur) - Make it fast.

(Enna Kros) - Make sure you aim away from her while casting your thunder spells. Lightning's a natural steroid for her.

(King Arthur) - You act as if we didn't already know this. Leave.

(Enna Kros) - I'm going, I'm going.

She disappears into a burst of light, and her presence can no longer be felt in the castle. As the armor around me dissipates, and I become fully conscious again, I can only wonder why things were happening now, after so long.

(Mardos) - What do you want from us, Enna Kros... what do you want from us?
