Soulmate au, the bruises you get your soulmate gets too, and vice versa

I've always had at least one bruise on my body. Wether it was from me or not. My soulmate gets bruises at night, because I wake up and have random bruises on my ribs or legs or somewhere, never on the face though. I just assumed they fell a lot.
________

I rode my bike to school, getting a few strange looks as I rode by. Is there a fairy flying above me wtf. I locked my bike up and walked into school with my head down. I rushed to my locker, brushing my hair behind my neck.

"Y/n? What the fuck is all that?" Eddie laughed as he walked up to me. "What?" I asked the boy, his hands delicately running over my neck. "Oh my god" Bev said walking towards me, along with the rest of the losers. "Wait what? What happened is there a spider?" I panicked, trying to urge them to tell me. "No idiot, you have hickeys.. a lot" Stan replied as Bev giggled and dragged me to the bathroom where I could see in the mirror.

"Oh my god" I gasped at the purple and red bruises on my neck. "They really got some last night" Bev said as I picked my shirt up to see them trailing down my stomach and past my pants. "What do I do?" I panicked. "Just cover it with my hoodie" Bev said giving me her hoodie that was a bit too big for both of us. I thanked her and headed to 1st period.

Richie has been looking at me weird all day, he hasn't been making fun of me or joking with me at all.

"Eddie?" I called to the boy, he turned and his face turned into a wide smile once his eyes met mine. I caught up with him, walking beside him while we talked. "Why has Richie been ignoring-" my sentence was interrupted by chanting and cheering. We turned the corner and saw a crowd of students around a fight. "Ugh, this is so dumb" I rolled my eyes, turning away from it until Eddie grabbed my arm, forcing me back. "Y/n... your nose is bleeding" I brought my hand up and there was fresh blood dripping from it. Eddie and I shared a look and I ran through the crowd, looking at who was fighting. I saw Henry on top of someone, the person struggling underneath him. I moved my way to the front and saw Richie. I got on top of Henry, pulling him off. Henry grunted, walking away, along with the rest of the crowd.

"Richie?" What the hell?" I kneeled next to him, wiping away his blood with at tissue. "Y/n, what happened?" He asked breathlessly. "Nothing" I replied, furrowing my eyebrows. "You're bleeding" he said weakly. "You're bleeding more" I said, making him sit up. I brought him to the bathroom, helping him on the sink. "Richie what did I tell you about getting into fights" I groaned, wetting a paper towel and dabbing his wounds. "Not to"he mumbled as I put a bandage on his cheek. I looked at the mirror and gasped. "What the fuck" I said as I stared at my reflection. There was dried blood on my lip, and a bruise on my eye. Same as Richie.

"You're-" my voice trailed off and I grabbed the sink for support. My breath hitched as I thought of things to say. "What the fuck did you do last night?"

His eyes widened and he awkwardly scratched his neck"I went to a party and I-" "you know what? I think I know what happened" I dismissed the rest of his story, staring at the ground for a moment to comprehend everything.

"Is that why you've been ignoring me all day? You knew?" I mumble softly, glancing at the boy who was slouched on the sink. "I was skeptical" he replied. "You're still bleeding" I sighed and grabbed the wet paper towel, dabbing at his lip.

Our eyes met and I could've sworn the world stopped for a second. In my mind I wasn't worried about how i was late to class or about how my Face is covered in bruises. All I could focus on was his chocolate brown eyes, and the way his raven curls covered his forehead and part of his ears in a sense that he wanted to hide from the world, and the way his lips parted slightly, the bruises and cuts all over his face fading in my mind where I could see his face smiling at the quarry or his face after he'd just made a sour joke.
