"So, this is how we go?" Ethan asks, standing in between Bonnie and Damon.

"Seems so."

"This place is going down, isn't it?" Damon asked.

Huge holes of light poke through to the other side, while the winds blow all around them.

"It is. I'm sure there are a million people we'd rather be with right now, but. . ." Bonnie moves in-between her brother and Damon. She takes their hands and lace their fingers together.

"A couple thousand, at most." Damon jokes, receiving a playful punch from Ethan.

Now, a huge orb of light rips through the tree-tops.

"Do you think it'll hurt?" Ethan eyed, Bonnie and Damon waiting for an answer for his question.

The fabric of reality itself starts to shatter, leaving nothing but light.

"I don't kn-" Before Damon can finish his sentence, the light engulfs them.

───

Ethan slowly opens his eyes. "Oh." They are in the same place they were when they died. He looks over at Bonnie, their hands are still interlaced and they both let go.

"Huh. That got awkward fast." Damon said after letting go of Bonnie's hand. They look around confused.

"What happened? Where are we?" Bonnie ask, as she and Ethan make their way out of the woods.

"Where are you both going? Hey." Damon follows then and now they are in the middle of the street, still in Mystic Falls. Damon reaches up to touch his teeth. "Well, I feel a fang. I'm still a vampire. Either I'm a dead vampire or Mystic Falls is no longer magic free."

"Look." Bonnie and Damon follows Ethan's gaze and sees that he is looking at the Mystic Grill, confusing the two.

"I definitely blew that up about an hour ago." Damon points at the still standing building.

"Why don't we see any people? If we're still on the Other Side we should at least be able to see the living." They're still puzzled and looking around.

"Where the hell are we? And I don't mean geographically." Damon looked to the Bennett's for answers.

"I have no idea." Bonnie answers.

───

It's morning time, the streets are deserted and Bonnie, Ethan and Damon are walking in the middle of the street. Damon has his leather jacket slung over his shoulder, Bonnie's gray jacket is tied around her waist and Ethan has his red sweater hung over his forearm.

"How many more streets are we going to wander?" Damon groans.

"How many times are you going to ask me questions I don't have the answers to? Huh?" Bonnie asks clearly annoyed by the vampires constant asking.

"Damon aren't you still a vampire? Shouldn't you be like, I don't know. Super durable?" Damon looks back at the siblings and they continue walking in silence.

"There's something weird about these cars." Bonnie says making the other two males stop. They stand in front of a parked white car.

"Yeah, they're all 20 years old or more and yet they look brand new." Damon runs his hand over the hood, he looks up at a house, it's Elena's house. "And that is Elena's not-so-burnt-to-a-crisp house." He points out.

They walk in front of it, Ethan sees a newspaper on the grass and picks it up, unfolds it and reads it. "Huh?" Bonnie looks at him confused to what he has found.

Ethan turns to the two and holds out the paper so they can read. "Look." Bonnie and Damon crane their necks to read the paper.

"Rare solar eclipse expected to be seen across 12 states? Really Eddie?" Damon raised a brow at the boy, Bonnie looked a little confused as well.

Ethan rolls his eyes. "The date."

"May 10th, 1994. Is that-? Are we-? But that's impossible." Bonnie read and could believe her eyes.

Suddenly the sky turns darker blue, they look up and see the eclipse blotting out the sun.

"I don't think we should be asking where we are, I think we should be asking when we are." Damon walks up to Elena's porch and sits down on the swing, Bonnie and Ethan follow him but take a seat on the stairs.

"Where is any booze in this empty retroville?" Damon asked.

"We're in some unknown dimensional world or whatever. And your worries about alcohol?" Ethan turns to look at the blue eyed vampire.

"Don't judge me Eddie." Damon leans back in the seated swing.

"It feels to weird to be back here, I practically grew up on this porch." Bonnie reminisced.

Damon stops the swing. "Alright, talk me through it." Bonnie turns to him, then to Ethan.

"Before the Other Side collapsed, Grams said that she made a sacrifice so that we'd could find peace." She says pointing to Ethan and herself.

"The part where you actually have a theory." Bonnie rolls her eyes at the vampire, before continuing to speak.

"Well, this clearly isn't peace, otherwise I wouldn't be stuck here with you." Bonnie says putting emphasis on the word "peace".

"Rude." Damon gives the girl a hurt expression.

"It's okay Damon, I still think your okay." Ethan attempted to make the vampire feel better but it didn't work.

"She must have- I don't know, sent us somewhere. And when I held your hand. . .it took you with us."

"Well, did she happen to whisper a safe word in her last breaths. A clue, maybe? Witchy path out of here?" Damon asked, hoping Bonnie would say she did.

"No, but if we got here by magic, magic should be able to get us out." Bonnie says with a frown that didn't go unnoticed by the guys.

"And that frown that's not upside down is telling me what?" Damon raised his eyebrows.

Bonnie looks toward a glass cup and mumbles. "Phesmatos incendia." They look intently at the glass, but nothing happens, Bonnie looks down in disappointment.

"Still can't do magic. What about you?" Damon asked Eddie.

"Give me your hand and we'll find out." The vampire complies and offers Ethan his hand. The warlock siphons a bit if Damon's vampirism, the turns to the glass cup. "Phesmatos incendia." The cup burst into flames.

"Well, at least we have something going out way." Damon sighs and sits back on the swing.
