there she sat next to him, slowly caressing his hair with pure love in her heart for him. the girl was completely lost in her thoughts as she noticed him begin to shake, the light from the tv washing down upon his face and his tears glimmered with it. her heart swole with love and empathy for him, crushing her to see him so sad, the boy she was in love with, the boy she gave so much of herself to, the boy who still managed to leave her breathless even after all he had done. i miss her, hed say. its so hard to get over someone youve lived through so much with, hed say. the familiar tune of the night we met played through the tvs speakers as she brought him to her chest, hoping he wouldnt notice the rapid beating of her heart at the proximity of the two. she whispered comforting words into his hair as he cried into her chest. her heart had the familiar painful twinge this situation usually brought to her, he was heartbroken over someone who couldnt see what she saw in him, he left her for that person so many times before and even then shed still wait for him to return. even when all he talked about was her, she still listened to his voice with pure love, imagining that in some future hed be telling someone how much he loved her. she fantazised that would see someday how much he meant to her, that even after he would cry over her and drink in her name with songs they shared, she still wanted to be with him. that even if he didnt give a shit about her, shed still be at his feet for him. she didnt even fucking care if he didnt want anything serious, she didnt fucking care if he just wanted a way to forget his ex, she didnt care if he was USING HER. she wanted to be close to him, he was using her and it hurt, but if that was the way shed be able to even express some of her admiration, she was going to take it. alas, they lay there together, his heart hurting for his past lover and hers for the boy next to her, his pain crushing her as she wishes she could do more to help him, but she didnt know she had already done too much, he had what he wanted.
