James POV
(Two months later)The music is blasting giving me a large head ache, it's probably one of the downers about these dumb parties. I look across the room at Willow as her slim body sways in a almost mesmerizing way to the rhythmic beats of the music, she loves parties. Not that she acts stupid at them like most girls, she just likes to dance and be with people. Maybe that's why I come to these every time, to try and hand fun but it never seems to work out. as long she is happy then I'm happy.
I feel the corners of my mouth curl up into a grim when Willow looks at me. he eyes bright and full of life, hair everywhere around her face in a fashion that makes me want to kiss her on the spot. She smiles back at me and blows me a kiss as the song ends and another begins, sending her into fits of spasm because this happens to be one of her favorite songs and she begins to dance one again.
"James!" A voice calls to me. It is rose one of mine and willows, I suppose you could call her a friend...kinda. she has had one of the biggest crushes on me since eighth grade. She's cute I'll give her that but this girl is crazy.
Hide. I tell myself before she catches you. I look around myself quickly and find an open back door were a bunk of people are playing a round of bear pong on the back patio. I buck behind them until rose passes in she pursuit after me.
That was close I tell myself smiling a little leaning on the railing and looking at the woods. it's quieter out here aside from the half dozen drunks. I look over my shoulder at them then back at the woods.
The snow is gone except for piles here or there, a slight chill still lingers in the air. I haven't seen the wolf in the last couple months. It shouldn't surprise me it probably died. For an odd reason it makes my chest feel heavy.
I look at the house then the woods...just a short walk. No one will miss me, I jump of the porch and start walking to the trees putting my hands in my jacket pocket.
The moon gives poor lighting but enough so that I can see where I'm walking, The winds blows ruffling up my hair into my eyes. I find a log to sit on as I move the hair out of my face and laying down looking at the bare branches and the stars.
CAWW!
Breaks the night silence. I sit up looking around to find the raven on the ground a few feet away. I stare at it, I'm not sure if I should be great full to it or run like hell so I don't almost die again. I bite my lip staring at it then look around, there doesn't seem to be anything.
They doesn't seem to be anything around but I have to feeling that I'm wrong and that something is there.
CAW!
"Shut up...please" I say to the bird slowly sitting up looking around.
The raven takes off, oh god I'm going to get attacked again. I turn to start running to the house when I come face to face with it.
The white wolf, it's face inches from mine. Holy shit. I look in it's large yellow eyes staring at me.
"Crap" I whisper out loud more to myself then it.
It takes in a large breath taking in my sent then breathing it back out messing up my hair. I stare at it frozen in this spot as it looks at me. But then I realize that the wolf is alive and that makes me happy to an extant, I hope it doesn't eat me.
