Chapter 32 ...stress and drugs

~~~Louis' POV~~~~

The gummy bear song sounded signalling that I had a call. I had been dancing with Eleanor until I was rudely interrupted. I looked at the caller ID and realised it was Aislinn.

"hey Ais what's up?" I asked holding my hand up to my ear to drown out the music.

"Lou...I'm at the hospital." she replied and I could hear the sorrow in her voice.

"what?! Why?!" I asked and I heard my voice crack.

"it's Liam...." her voice trailed off.

"what's wrong with Liam?" I tried to urge her on. I heard a thud.

"Aislinn?! Aislinn?! Can you hear me?" I asked desperately. I hung up the phone and turned to Eleanor.

"we need to leave! Now!" I said urgently.

"what?why?"

" no questions. Just come." she looked confused but obeyed anyway. I walked over to the corner of the room where Harry was flirting with some blonde bimbo.

"Haz we're leaving! No questions just come!" he smiled towards the girl before trailing along behind me and Eleanor. Next was Niall over by the food table. I demanded him to follow and he added himself to the end of the line. Lastly there was zayn. I couldn't find him anywhere. Then I decided to check the bathroom. And there he was fixing his hair. I also demanded him to join the line. We then piled into the van.

I got in the driver's seat and compared to my usually slow driving I put the pedal to the metal and sped all the way to the hospital. Questions were flung in my direction every few seconds but I ignored them and flew threw the doors of the hospital. I walked up to the receptionist. Her face lit up as she realised who I was.

"are you..."

"yes I am and now is not the time. Liam Payne?" I snapped. She eyed me carefully before saying "he's still in surgery."

"what about Aislinn Fox?"

"who?"

"Aislinn Fox. She called me."

"she may be in the waiting room." she suggested before turning back to her computer.

I briskly walked, almost running, to the waiting room. When I arrived I saw Aislinn lying face down on the floor. Her phone was about a metre away from her. She must have collapsed. I raced to her side and shook her shoulder.

"Aislinn!? Ais?! Love?! Wake up!" she didn't stir. I saw a vase on a nearby table. I raced over, grabbed the vase and threw the water on her. She still didn't stir.

"Doctor! We need a doctor in here!" I yelled desperately. Several nurses hurried our way and helped Aislinn.

We were told to wait in the waiting room whilst they found out what was wrong with Aislinn. I was sitting here and biting my fingernails nervously. Eleanor was sitting beside me, hand on my thigh, leg bouncing up and down erratically. Niall was gripping the chair so tight his knuckles were white. He was also grinding his teeth. Harry was sitting on the ground, head in his hands whilst resting on his knees. Zayn was staring at the roof, tears prickling his eyes. We were all worried out of our minds. What even happened?

Fifteen minutes later one of the nurses that helped Aislinn returned.

"Aislinn Fox?" we all stood up and waited expectantly.

"what's wrong with her?" I asked, another wave of nervousness washed over my body.

"nothing too major she just inhaled a lot of smoke."
