Noya POV

"Well. Er... I kinda... liked it."

What the hell?! Why did you just say that you moron?! They clearly don't like you. They said it themself, it was just a game.

Y/N stood there in shock, not saying anything, just staring at me.

Well done, Yuu, you've ruined your chances now haven't you.

"I get it. I'll just go."

I left the umbrella in their hand and ran off into the rain, getting soaked in the process.

Normal POV

Noya ran off, leaving you with the umbrella still in you hands.

"Noya!!" You called out to him but it was too late, he was already gone.

The rain continued to pour, the smell of petrichor making its way to your nose. You stared into the distance, hoping, just hoping that he would come back, so you could explain your feelings towards him. But no. He wasn't coming back and it was all your fault.

Defeated, you began to walk again, tuning into the sound of the rain against the umbrella to try and clear your mind. However, no matter how hard you tried, your mind wandered to the bubbly libero who's heart you had just broken.

The next morning, you walked to school by yourself. It had rained throughout the night, despite it being summer.

As you were walking along, you tried your best to avoid the puddles. The rain had stopped but the colour of the sky told you it was only for a short period of time.

What a horrible day.

Without warning, a car sped through a puddle at the side of the road, drenching you in the cold water.

"Just my luck."

By the time you got to class, you were mostly dry, except your hair.

You sat yourself at your desk and noticed that it was awfully quiet.

You turned your head to the desk beside you and noticed Noya staring off into the distance, avoiding your gase. No matter how hard you tried to get his attention, he remained fixated on the teacher.

This behaviour was extremely off and you couldn't help but think it was because of you.

During lunch, you tried to find him, to apologise. Despite you looking everywhere, you couldn't find him.

What have you done, Y/N?

You decided to go straight home that day. You told Kei that you had a lot of homework so you couldn't wait for him to finish practice.

He saw right through your lie but decided it was best not to say anything. He knew you weren't yourself and that you needed some time.

He had also noticed that one of the loud second years wasn't living up to Kei's expectations. However, he wasn't the only one who had noticed this.

"He's awfully quiet. I wonder what happened."

"According to Tanaka, he's been avoiding Y/N like the plague."

"Really that's not like him."

The three third years continued to worry about the libero. Sending him quick glances every now and then.

"We need to do something about this." Suga said to the other two.

"But what can we do?" Asahi replied with a high level of concern in his voice.

"I have a plan."

The three began whispering among themselves, discussing what Suga had in mind.

Back to you because you're the main character, honey!

You were sat at the table with your parents with your evening meal placed in front of you. Your appetite had disappeared, guilt eating up inside of you.

"Are you okay, honey?" Your mother questioned.

"Yeah, I'm just not that hungry."

"Okay, just eat what you can."

After you had finished eating, you decided to go up to bed.

The thoughts remained in your mind, swimming around, making you feel guiltier by the second.

You wished you could have done something but you didn't know what.
