"La-Lathan, H-h-help". I say gasping for air. I feel like the air I once breathed was taken from me.
I look over at Lathan who's reaching for my hand. I reach for his. We finally get ahold of each other.
"Kehlani I lo- Lathan is cut off by another loud Bang I look to where it came from but when I can't I look back at Lathan who's looking at me whith wide eyes.
"I-I-I-I'm sorry Kehlani". He says with tears filling his eye.
"LATHAN NOOOOOO". I scream

Kehlani's Pov:
A Few Days Earlier...
"Hurry up, Before I blow your brains out and make your wife my bitch". Lathan says pointing a gun at the cashier in the empty gas station.
"Please don't I have a family, I can't give the money, sir". The man says sobbing
"Oh I'm so sorry we didn't realize that, you know what Babygirl, Let's leave this poor man alone since he has a family". Lathan says taunting the man.
I walk over to Lathan and whisper in his ear. He still watches the man who's still in tears.
"Babygirl, why don't you go ahead and do that. I'll be right here watching this son of a bitch". He says which puts a smile on my face.
I walk over to the candy isle and get the best candies in the world.
I got some candy. Then I walk over to grab some chips, and drinks. I put everything in my back pack.
I walk back to where Lathan is and kiss his cheek.
"Thanks Baby, but can we speed this up. I'm getting tired". I say to him. He just glares at me and smacks his lips.
I just snatch the gun from him and shoot the cashier. And run to the car with a pissed Lathan trailing behind me. We get in the car and Lathan doesn't say anything to me he just watches the road.
I grab my bag and get Lathan's chips.
"You're not mad are you? I know you wanted to get the money and then kill him but It's fine we already have enough money". I say while offering him, his chips. He just glares at me and snatches the chips from me.
"I told you why we were going there. To get money not to get a shit load of junk, Kehlani". He says gripping the steering wheel.
"I'm sorry Daddy, how about I make it up to you". I say biting my lip while grabbing his chips and I throw them at him.
He just looks at me shocked and then he just glares at me.
"Such a fucking tease". He mumbles under his breath. I just smirk at him
We finally arrive at our hotel and once we get I we take our masks off.
I hop on the bed and turn the tv on.
"Bruh what the fuck are you watching, This shit is trash' He says not approving at all with the show I'm watching.
"Lathan I'm just watching Tiger King". I say really into the show (irl I've only watched the first episode so excuse me if I say something wrong)
"I don't care what the hell this is I don't wanna watch it". He says turning the show off. I just mean mug him
"Dude I'm trying to figure if Carol Baskin really killed her husband or not, I was so close to finding out to figuring it out". I say actually pissed.
Lathan just shrugs his shoulders and turns off Netflix and turns on the cable tv as he looks for something to watch he comes across the news.
"Police are looking for Hispanic Male named Jason Hernandez but as for the second suspect they don't have much information to help them. Now here is Karen Louise with the weather". The news lady says. Lathan finally finds something to watch and turns the channel.
I just look at him and smirk.
"Would you look at that Lathan Moses Echols made a big mistake he left one of his fake IDs at a crime scene". I say sarcastically while clapping my hands. He just glares at me.
"You do realize that they could easily check the fingerprints on the ID and both of our prints will show up".
He says pissed. Suddenly my heart drops.
"Wait what? No I can't get caught Lathan we can't get caught". I tell him breathing uncontrollably.
Lathan just wraps his arms around me and whispers in my ear that it's gonna be okay.
"Babygirl I won't let nothing happen to you okay,you the Bonnie to my Clyde shawty". He says looking into my eyes. I just look at him like he's crazy.
"Lathan do you not know how their little story ended". I say with wide eyes.
"We're like them despite their sad ass ending, shit I'll kill my mother before I ever let your ass die".
