Chapter 11: The Ocean

Hey well lets time skip after they defeated Hades

~~Time Skip: After defeating Hades~~

You woke up, and saw the sun once again. The bright blue sky, and the smiles on peoples faces. You could tell that they defeated your so called grandfather, so you took a walk to the docks by yourself. As you got there you sat on the edge of the sand with the ocean tickling your toes.

"Whatcha doing out here by yourself?" A voice from behind, making it obvious who it was.

"I feel like punching you Gray..." You said without taking your eyes off the beautiful blue ocean, he chuckled and sat beside you. "I was just protecting you (Y/N)..." he mumbled

You looked away hiding your pink dusted cheeks, "W-Whatever..."

Then you both went back looking at the beautiful water, "Gray, your master, Ur, she is part of the ocean right?"

He nodded, "She was amazing..."

"Well, I wish I could meet her..."

"But you know (Y/N), the most people we care about will be with us forever"

I glanced at him with the corner of my eye, 'never thought he'd say wise words like that'

"Hey (Y/N)?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you sing that song when we were little? The one where we were taking that trip to the lake?"

"You mean the song where you started crying like a baby?"

"I WAS NOT CRYING! I J-JUST HAD ALLERGIES!" He stated, and we both started laughing, "Okay fine..."

I cleared my throat and began to sing;

"Oh, the waves roll low

And the waves roll high

And so it goes

Under the bright blue

Endless Sky

Waves try to measure

The days that we treasure

As soon as the song ended, I looked back at Gray who was trying to hide his face, but I could here sniffling. 'Oh Jeez please dont tell me...'

"Gray..."

"W-What?" He sniffled, 'yup no doubt..'

"Are you crying?" I said teasingly, he wiped his face before looking at me.

"Allergies came back..." I bit my lip, restraining to laugh. "Here let me help..."

I put my hand on his face and used my thumb to wipe his blue teary eyes and noticed he was blushing. I stared into his eyes and we drew our faces closer, as our lips were about to reach.

"RRRROOOOOAAAARRRR"

A deep roar that alomst sounded as loud as thunder, we both stopped and got up. "Lets go see whats up!" He said

I nodded and we ran towards where the noise was coming from, once we got there we saw everyone tried to fight....A DRAGON?!?!

He was black, scaley, and gigantic. But, we had three dragon slayers, right?

"Iron Dragon Roar!"

"Sky Dragon Roar!"

"Fire Dragon Roar!"

All three used both of their powers and hit the dragon, but it showed no effect on him. "But we hit them with all three dragon slayers?" Someone said. Suddenly a certain person was throwing rocks at the monster, it was Gray...

"Hey ugly! Pick on someone your own size!" He got his attention and tge dragon was going to swing his arm, I couldn't stand there and watch get him torn to pieces...

---- Gray P.O.V---

He was about to attack me, 'Shit! I forgot I used up all my magic power!'

As he began to swung his arm and launch me towards the ocean, I closed my eyes shut tightly anf was ready for whatever happens...

"Beloved!"

"Watch out!"

'This is it, I'm going to die...'
FWOOSH...

I felt nothing but a swift of air, as I opened my eyes, I saw that (Y/N) took the hit and was flying from the hit and landed into the middle of the ocean. Gasps came from my guildmates, tears began streaming, and I tried to jump into the water to save her.

"(Y/N)! IM COMING TO SAVE YOU! HANG ON!" I tried to run but Cana was holding me back.

"Gray you can't...there's nothing we can do, we have to go!"

Master was holding off the dragon, while Cana begged me to come.

"NO I CAN'T LEAVE HER!"

"Gray its to late!"

She dragged my arms and I gave in, but I couldn't take my eyes off the ocean, (Y/N)....

---- Time Skip: As they join hands-----

Third Point of View

As each of the guildmates joined hands awaiting for there sacrifice, but Gray and Cana holding a heavy heart from the lost of their best friend. As a blast filled Tenrou Island making the island vanish without a trace, somewhere in the cold salty ocean, a young girl with (h/l) (h/c) was floating in the deep water protected by the person she longed to meet most....
