When I wake up, the first thing, or actually, the first person to come in my head is Sasha. I don't know why. What is wrong with me?
I get up and take a shower. When I start to walk downstairs, I hear my sister call out my name. I walk back upstairs and to her room. As I open the door, she yells out of surprise. She's still wearing her pajamas. "Aah! Jake! Knock before you just drop in!" she yells at me. "Well I'm sorry to bother ya, Amy, buy you called me, so here I am. Whatcha want?" I answer. Right after, I add: "Why are ya still wearing your pajamas? Don't ya have school or something?" "I am, because I slept in. And yes, I called ya, but I expected to hear a loud 'what' from the hallway, not for you to just walk in like an idiot," she says. I ignore her. She continues: "Anyway, what I wanted to ask, was who this Sasha is." I mumble something I don't even know what it was, and walk away. "Like I said, she's just a friend I met at school yesterday. Get ready for school or you'll be late. Do I have to tell you that?"
When I'm finished with my breakfast, I open my phone to check for new messages. Right then, I hear my sister coming downstairs. Well that took awhile for her.
As I expected, I've been spammed a lot. Lucas, Stan and Lucia have asked me way too many questions about Sasha. I read them, but don't answer them. I'll have time for that when I'm at school, where I'll be attacked by the three of them; their lips burning with questions. And I'm sure about it.
When I arrive at school, I put my bike in the cycle shed. Someone claps on my back and says: "Hey man! What is wrong with ya? Ain't reading any of my messages!" That was obviously Lucas, with his rough voice. I turn around while I put my keys in my pocket. "What do ya mean? I've read them. Just been too lazy to answer as well," I answer dryly. "Oh come on. Ya know what I mean. Lucia was pissed off. Still don't know why you ain't going for her. She's a hottie, ya know that. And still-" he says, but I interrupt him right away. "Shut up about her. Ya know my reasons. She only wants me because of my parents and their hate for you-know-what. And ya know I do not think of those as they do, so why would she still want me?" He chuckles. "Maybe because ya both are hotties meant to be?" I ignore him and walk away, almost bumping into Stan. "Hey bro, dreaming? Look before you, wouldn't ya?" I smile, and answer: "No, not dreaming. Not at all. Why would I? Ya can say what ya want, but your questions will remain unanswered like this, ya know." We chuckle and walk inside together, they teasing me while I just try to ignore it.
Without knowing it, I look in front of me before anything else. She's late. "Whatcha staring at? Miss her already?" Lucas says. I want to ignore him. I've ignored him a lot, yesterday and today, I notice. So I decide on answering. "No, but she's new and late already. Isn't that weird?" He nods, but I doubt he believes me. "Class, be silent already! I want to start, didn't you notice yet?" Well, the lesson starts, and she's late. Didn't actually expect that, though. I thought she would be a girl who has her homework finished all the time, is always way too early at school, that kind of stuff. But apparently, she isn't. Just when everyone is silent, she rushes in and excuses her for being late: "I'm sorry, Sir, but I slept in. I couldn't sleep last night, so I was too tired to wake up. It is my fault, I'm sorry again." Wow, that was a hell of an excuse. How did she just do that? She sits down and starts to grab her book very quickly, before he can answer. While she's unpacking, though, he interrupts her and says: "You may keep your books closed, Keyon, for you are the first one to be tested. Have you studied?" "Yes, I have, Sir," she answers, and slowly puts her books down. He starts asking her questions about what we should have studied for, which I definitely did not study for. Sasha answers everything correctly, which the teacher is pretty surprised by, you can see it in his eyes. He doesn't want it to show though, and he recovers quickly. "You've studied well," he says. Then: "Now, to start with the lesson..." Sasha opens her books and notebook and continues on her drawing of yesterday. Just before she bows over it, I can see the beginning of a face. Wow, that's a real talent.
